Why Bet on the Brooklyn Nets?

The Nets currently hold the top spot in the Eastern Conference. However, the Celtics present a tougher challenge compared to their last two competitors. The team won their last two games by five points or less. These were games against two teams out of the top eight, the Cavs and the Magic. If the Nets want to keep things at bay, they have to step up and play more aggressively.

The team averages 108.8 points (tenth) per game on 46.4% shooting. They are the best three-point shooting team in the league right now with a 37.6% three-point average. Ball movement is also a priority for head coach Steve Nash. The side records 25.1 assists (fifth) per game. These numbers are enough to intimidate the hosts. But, the Nets have to perform on both ends of the court to pull off the victory.

Defensively, the Nets do well to hold opponents to 105.0 points (tenth) per game. There’s plenty of work to do when it comes to rebounding. The hosts average 50.9 total rebounds (27th) per game. Nonetheless, much of the work comes on defensive boards. The team averages 36.6 defensive rebounds (seventh) per game.

Joe Harris (sprain) and Bruce Brown (hamstring) are out of the lineup due to injuries. Patty Mills and DeAndre’ Bembry are expected to fill in for the two starters on Wednesday night.

Why Bet on the Boston Celtics?

The Celtics started to find stability and won seven of their last ten games. They recently secured two double-digit victories in their last three outings, including a 130-108 blowout against long-time rivals Los Angeles Lakers.

The team averages 108.3 points (12th) per game on 44.4% shooting (19th). They shoot 33.3% from the three-point range (21st). Meanwhile, the Celtics’ free-throw shooting offset some of the mediocre shooting numbers. They hit 80.6% of their free throws in 18 games.

Jayson Tatum continues his run as the team’s leading scorer with 25.7 points per game. Jaylen Brown sits right behind him with 24.8 PPG, while Dennis Schroder and Al Horford are the two other players to average double-digit scores.

They are not the biggest offensive threat in the league, but the squad makes up for things on defense. The Celtics average 54.7 total rebounds (eight) and 36.4 defensive rebounds per game. We expect the Nets to have a tough time seeing how they fall behind in offensive rebounds at only 7.7 (30th) per game. Robert Williams leads the team in rebounding with 9.7 boards per game.

Jaylen Brown is questionable for Wednesday’s game due to a hamstring injury. We might see Dennis Schroder starting or Payton Pritchard filling in if he fails to get cleared.

Nets vs. Celtics Expert Betting Prediction

The Nets are one of the strongest teams in the league right now, with a solid record backing that up. Meanwhile, the Celtics are also a dangerous team if you give them enough space. If Brown can return on time, he can play a key role in their efforts to score another home victory. Covering the spread is a good possibility for the hosts despite the visitors coming in as favorites. Ultimately, we have another great match to look forward to this Wednesday.
