Kyle Larson hopes to make it two straight wins when the Hendrick Motorsports driver heads to Darlington Raceway this weekend for the 2024 NASCAR Goodyear 400. Larson won the AdventHealth 400 last week. Teammate William Bryon won the Goodyear in 2023. Did Larson, Byron, or both make the list of drivers that should be on your radar?

Second Choice to Win the 2024 Goodyear 400

Martin Truex Jr. finished fourth at the AdventHealth 400. The fourth place is a sign Martin and his crew may be on the verge of a decent run.

Before the AdventHealth, Truex Jr. had finished third at Dover, bolstering the positive performance thesis. Martin won the pole at last year’s Goodyear 400. He finished thirty-first. Unless there’s a repeat, Truex Jr. finished in the top five on Sunday. He’s a solid play if you like him.

Third Choice to Win the 2024 Goodyear 400

Christopher Bell’s sixteenth place finish at the 2023 NASCAR Goodyear 400 may not inspire a ton of confidence. But the odds on Bell are decent considering he won the pole at Kansas last Sunday and then proceeded to finish sixth in the race.

When Bell gets it going, he’s a tough driver to keep out of the top 5. Earlier in the year, Bell won at Phoenix, finished second at the Circuit of the Americas, and finished sixth at Richmond. Keep in mind if you’re looking for a better price than what the favorites offer.

Top Underdog to Win the 2024 Goodyear 400

Ryan Blaney has yet to get on track. It’s a matter of time before he does. Ryan started twenty-sixth at Kansas and moved his way up to twelfth.

In the previous race, Blaney started second and finished seventh. In the Goodyear 400 in 2023, Blaney finished a decent ninth. If this is the Sunday when the defending Cup champ gets it going, for sure, Ryan Blaney can grab the checkered flag. The odds make Blaney more than playable as this week’s top underdog choice.

2024 Goodyear 400 Expert Prediction

While Denny Hamlin is the favorite due to his track record and experience, don’t count out drivers like Kevin Harvick and Kyle Larson, who have the skills to contend.

In the end, experience and strategy will likely prevail at Darlington, and Denny Hamlin’s mastery of this track gives him the edge. Look for Hamlin to secure another win at Darlington and solidify his status as one of the best drivers at “The Track Too Tough to Tame.”
