2021 NBA Championship Betting Odds (January)
The 2020 NBA Championship was decided not so long ago. A little bit over a couple of months. The Los Angeles Lakers took the title. And we’re already a couple of weeks in the 2020-21 season, which kicked off on December 22nd, 2020. Led by future Hall of Famer LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers beat Miami Heat in six games to pick up their 17th NBA Championship. There is no surprise that they are favorites to win the Finals again with odds of +230 (23/10).
Oddly enough, the Brooklyn Nets have gone up in the odds to win the 2021 NBA Championship. They currently stand at +500 (5/1). They now have Kevin Durant within their ranks, after he couldn’t start last season due to an Achilles tendon injury. They also have Kyrie Irving in the team as well, but they still have a long way to go to become the favorites. Keep an eye out for these guys.
According to the bookmakers, LA rivals the Clippers should be there closest challengers with odds of +400 (4/1). The Clippers are the oldest Franchise in the NBA never to make the Finals, but their recent upward trajectory has been enough to convince a lot of people that they are finally going to be contenders.
Rounding out the top 3 cluster that have very tight odds are the Milwaukee Bucks with +550 (11/2). The Bucks had the best record in the league last year but disappointed when it came to the post season, so they undoubtedly had to be motivated to go a step further this season. So far, it hasn’t been that bad but good neither. Their chemistry from last season is slowly, but surely picking up its pace.
The Los Angeles Clippers started off strong this season, and is currently on top in the standings. Although, they did go down a couple of spots within the 2021 NBA Championship odds. They stand at +550 (11/2), same as the Bucks.
Beyond the top 3, the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat look to be the closest challengers, both with slightly outside odds of +1500 (15/1).

2021 NBA Conference Championships Odds
Conference Odds are always lower than the odds on the same team to win the NBA Championship. This makes sense because there are less teams to overcome in the conference and the likelihood of them winning it is much higher.
The odds are different, but the favorites will almost always be the same, for example the Lakers are favorite to win their conference but with lower odds of +200 (2/1). If you are confident that a team will do well next season but are unsure whether they have what it takes to go all the way. Conference betting could be a great option.
