Titans thrash the Rams to win their fifth straight

The Tennessee Titans signaled they’re one of the best teams in the National Football League. The Titans used a dominating defense to beat the Los Angeles Rams 28-16. The win is even more impressive after we realize it happened at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. But before we declare the Titans the best team in the AFC, it’s worth noting that the Rams held Tennessee to just 69 rushing yards.

If Matthew Stafford hadn’t thrown a pick six, and if the Rams had gotten their offense going, they may have won the game because not only did the Titans not rush the ball well, but Ryan Tannehill only threw for 143 yards.

The Titans have a tough assignment on Sunday. The Saints are in town a week after losing to the rival Falcons. By no means is Tennessee a lock.

Kansas City beats an Aaron Rodgers-less Green Bay

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Green Bay Packers in their much discussed Week 9 battle. But there’s a major caveat to the victory. Green Bay was without starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The 2020 NFL MVP tested positive for the coronavirus. Who knows if Rodgers plays this weekend?

Truth be told, at least visually, KC didn’t look good. We shouldn’t jump on the Chiefs’ bandwagon just yet because the three victories in their last four happened against the Rodgers- less Packers, the WFT, and the New York Giants.

The Chiefs didn’t cover in any of the three. Mahomes and his mates still haven’t covered in a single spread this season.

Buffalo falls to Jacksonville in the biggest upset of the year

The most amazing upset of the year happened on Sunday. The Buffalo Bills lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Josh Allen and his mates entered the game a -14.5 favorite. Allen and the Bills left Jacksonville 9-6 losers.

What happened? Buffalo couldn’t move the football. The Bills can make amends against the horrible New York Jets in Week 10. Buffalo is a -13 favorite. There’s no reason why the Bills shouldn’t cover the spread. The Jaguars won’t make it two in a row agianst a good team. Expect Jacksonville to fall apart in a road game against the surging Indianapolis Colts.

Colt McCoy leads the Cardinals to victory over the 49ers

Even without Kyler Murray, the Arizona Cardinals are a good football team. Either that, or the San Francisco 49ers are flat out awful. The Cards marched into Levi’s Stadium and handed the Niners a 31-17 loss. San Francisco’s defense is plain bad while Jimmy Garoppolo and the offense are mediocre at best.

SF has suffered injuries. But that’s been the story for the past couple of seasons. Eventually, the Niners organization must take a hard look at what has gone wrong since losing the 2019 Super Bowl.

Arizona showed they’re for real. The true test of a team is its ability to get over adversity. Winning with Colt McCoy under center is a sign the Cardinals will be a team to reckon with in the playoffs.

Dallas and Cincinnati lose

Both the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals lost. In a way, the Cowboys have an excuse. The Bengals most definitely don’t. What’s Dallas’ excuse? Dak Prescott was off all day, which is why the Broncos beat the Cowboys 30-16. It was Dak’s first game back from an injury.

Dak’s timing with his recievers the offensive line was nonexistent. The Boys should bounce back this weekend against the Falcons. Cincinnati might be in some trouble. Facing a Cleveland Browns team without Odell Beckham Jr., the Bengals flubbed big time. Joe Burrow threw a couple of picks in a 41-16 beat down.

The loss wouldn’t have been as bad if it didn’t happen on Cincy’s field. The Browns definitely aren’t as good as the score indicates. But Cincinnati, unfortunately, might be as bad as the score implies.

Lamar pulls another magic trick in Baltimore’s OT win against the Vikings

Although he probably won’t win the NFL MVP, Lamar Jackson deserves it. No player in the league has bailed out his team more this season than Lamar. In NFL Week 10, Jackson had to rally the Ravens after the Vikings built a 17-10 halftime lead. Lamar is the top intangible in the NFL. Few if any quarterbacks in the league can take over a game like Jackson.

On Thursday, Baltimore battles the Miami Dolphins a -7.5 road favorite. Although it’s easy to discount the Ravens’ chances to cover because the team required overtime to get past the Vikings, make sure to do your homework. The Ravens rarely enter a game without energy. Also, the 41-17 loss to Cincinnati on Oct. 24 was a wake up call, which means we must give Baltimore the benefit of the doubt and only go against them when we’re sure.
