The 2022 PGA Championship tees off on Thursday, May 19. Last year, Phil Mickelson shocked the world by becoming the oldest player to win a major title. This year, Lefty won’t step onto the Southern Hills country Club course in Tulsa, Oklahoma to defend his championship. With Lefty out of the tournament, which golfers offer the fairest odds to win the second major of 2022?

We’ve listed starting golf odds and an odds analysis of the top choices at the 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge.

Which player offering +1200, Thomas, Scheffler, or Spieth, deserves the longest look to win the 2022 Charles Schwab CHallenge?

Although Thomas played great last week when winning the PGA Championship, he didn’t hit the ball well enough to get into the top ten at last year’s Charles Schwab Challenge. JT shot a -2 on his way to a tied fortieth place. It might be wise to play against Thomas for the top spot. Scheffler didn’t make the cut after shooting a +3, which makes Jordan Spieth the best play among this group.

Spieth shot a -12 and finished second, 2 strokes off winner Jason Kokrak. At the PGA Championship, Jordan shot a 72-69-74-69 to finish at +4 and in thirty-fourth place. The first and second rounds ended Jordan’s major title dreams. But he shot well enough to have a say this week over a course for which he’s familiar. Give Jordan a look if you want to back chalk.

Which player among Zalatoris, Morikawa, Fleetwood, and Hovland has the best shot of winning the Charles Schwab trophy?

Among these four players, Collin should have a decent Charles Schwab. Morikawa shot a -5 at last year’s tournament to finish in fourteenth place. If not for a 72 third round at last year’s Charles Schwab, Morikawa may have finished in the top ten or even the top five. Morikawa hasn’t found consistency this season, finishing sixty-eight at the Valspar, twenty-sixth at the RBC Heritage, and fifty-fifth at last week’s PGA Championship. At Augusta, though, Morikawa finished fifth. So when he’s focused, he can hang. Give Collin a chance.

Name a golfer at +3000 to +4000 odds that can win this week’s PGA Tournament

Throw out Jason Kokrak’s PGA Championship performance and he’s hitting the ball well enough to pull off the repeat. Kokrak shot a -18 at the Byron Nelson. He shot a -6 at the RBC Heritage and a +2 at the Master Tournament, good enough for a tied fourteenth. Most likely, Jason circled this tournament when the 2021-2022 PGA Schedule landed. Kokrak, for sure, can make it two straight Charles Schwab Challenge victories.

Which option at +4500 to +5000 odds offers golf handicappers the best chance of taking the Charles Schwab?

Two golfers caught our eye in this odds range. The first is Brian Harman. Harman is playing well. Although he missed the cut at the Masters, Harman finished fifth at the Valspar, thirty-fifth at the RBC Heritage, ninth at the Wells Fargo, and thirty-fourth at the PGA Championship. At last year’s Charles Schwab, Harman finished tied for eighth. He can improve off last year’s performance.

Sebastian Munoz finished tied for third at the 2021 Charles Schwab Challenge. Munoz finished fifty-fifth at the PGA Championship last week. But before the PGA, he had finished third at the AT&T Byron Nelson. If Munoz returns to his Byron Nelson form, he can win this.
