The 2022 Genesis Scottish Open is the annual lead-up tournament the week before The Open Championship (British Open). In 2022, it has been co-sanctioned by the PGA TOUR for the very first time in partnership with the European Tour.

A massive prize pool worth $8 million is on the line at The Renaissance Club this week, which is up from the $3.5 million total payout from 2021. It is one of the few tournaments on the PGA TOUR calendar that didn’t see an increase in total payout from the previous year, but is nonetheless one of the more lucrative non-major events this season.
