2021 NASCAR Hollywood Casino 400 Recap
Hendrick Motorsports owned the 2021 NASCAR Hollywood Casino. Hendrick scored the top two placings when Kyle Larson grabbed the checkered flag and Chase Elliott finished second. Third place went to Kevin Harvick. Kurt Busch finished fourth. Fifth place went to Denny Hamlin and William Byron finished sixth.
Top Choice to Win the 2022 Hollywood Casino 400
In last Sunday’s event, Kyle Larson didn’t have a great finish. But he did finish in the top 15. Kyle might have been trying to maintain a decent position knowing he was going to drive in a race where he had much success last year.
Larson should step it up in this. He’s in decent enough form to win straight up and rates as the top choice on the board.
Second Top Choice to Win the 2022 Hollywood Casino 400
Few drivers will be as motivated on Sunday as Chase Elliott. Chase’s first playoff race ended in a crash. In this race last year, Elliott almost caught teammate Larson for the top spot. There’s no way Chase and his crew don’t make a run for the checkered flag.
The pressure is on and when the pressure is on, Elliott often responds. NASCAR’s regular season winner knows he must pick it up if he hopes stay in the Chase. A great way to do that will be to win the Hollywood Casino 400.
Third Top Choice to Win the 2022 Hollywood Casino 400
Third place on the standings Denny Hamlin had a decent race at the 2021 Hollywood Casino 400. Hamlin finished sixth after starting fifth on the grid. Denny almost won the race at Darlington last Sunday.
The second place finish sent Hamlin up to third on the points standings. Hamlin and his crew are hot. So if you don’t mind betting chalk, Denny is a solid play.
Top Underdog Choice to Win the 2022 Hollywood Casino 400
Byron is in second place on the NASCAR Playoff Cup Standings. Not only that, but last year in this event, Byron finished a decent sixth after starting ninth. Moving up 3 positions in NASCAR is big because the talent in the auto racing league is ridiculous.
At Darlington, Byron finished eighth. William is Hendrick Motorsports under the radar Cup contender. Don’t be surprised if the Hendrick driver nobody’s loving ends up crossing the finish line first.
