By Carlos Chacon

This week, the PGA TOUR season pays a visit to the Quad Cities for the 50th edition of the John Deere Classic in Silvis, Illinois. This time, take a closer look at the three best sleeper candidates to keep tabs on at the 2022 John Deere this week, as well as their corresponding golf odds to win the latest installment of the annual event at TPC Deere Run.

J.T. Poston

  • 2022 John Deere Classic Odds: +4,000

The highs have certainly been sky high for J.T. Poston, who is coming off a superb T2 finish at last week’s Travelers Championship. That’s now two top-three finishes and three top 10s for “The Postman” in his last eight starts, making the 29-year-old a spiky sleeper pick. Although, be wary that Poston’s lows are also real downers, as he’s also been cut from half of his aforementioned eight-start stretch.

Lucas Glover

  • 2022 John Deere Classic Odds: +4,500

Sitting in the doldrums of this week’s tier of dark horse candidates is defending John Deere Classic champion, Lucas Glover. The former U.S. Open champion broke his 10-year winless drought thanks to that victory at TPC Deere Run last year, and he also looked terrific on the course in 2019 with a solid T10 finish. Glover hasn’t had a top-20 finish in eight tries since early April, but a return to Silvis with a title defense in mind should give him a huge boost for this week’s tournament.

Adam Svensson

  • 2022 John Deere Classic Odds: +5,000

Thanks to back-to-back top-25 finishes, up-and-comer Adam Svensson finally managed to crack the top 100 of the FedExCup standings for the first time in his career. The 28-year-old Canuck had a decent T18 showing in his John Deere Classic debut back in 2019 and, coupled with two top-10 finishes near the start of 2022, Svensson has all the makings of a surprise sleeper pick to win it all this week and with terrific odds at that.
