By Carlos Chacon

NASCAR mixes things up this weekend and takes the Cup Series to a road course in Wisconsin, Road America in Elkhart Lake. There are always interesting storylines whenever the cars hit a circuit with left and right turns, which means more action for motorsport and betting fans from start to finish.

The season moves on from the Ally 400 last weekend. Chase Elliott received all the glory and is a heavy contender to win the upcoming race. However, Nitrobetting shares another angle that sheds light on the top sleeper picks of the Kwik Trip 250.

AJ Allmendinger

  • 2022 Kwik Trip 250 Odds: +1200

The man from California is always a threat on road courses and even conquered Indy in 2021. He was searching for a victory on the final lap in COTA and or even a top-ten finish before a late-race incident in Sonoma broke his position.

Experience is what Allmendinger brings to the table. The 40-year-old managed to get two wins in 15 starts at the 2022 Xfinity Series. In addition, we also saw him finish within the top five seven times and the top ten 13 times. Although Allmendinger is yet to open his 2022 Cup Series account, we look forward to a solid showing by the veteran driver this weekend.

Alex Bowman

  • 2022 Kwik Trip 250 Odds: +2000
Racing the No. 48 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Hendrick Motorsports, Alex Bowman, has attractive odds coming into the race. Despite failing to finish at the Ally 400 last Sunday due to Damaged Vehicle Policy, he’s ready to return to action in hopes of recording a better performance.

So far, the 29-year-old secured a victory this season. He crossed saw the checkered flag first at the 2022 Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube last March. His 2022 NASCAR Cup Series numbers have some weight, with three top-five finishes and nine top-ten finishes. He led 18 laps in 17 starts while maintaining an average start of 13.3 and an average finish of 13.5.

Michael McDowell

  • 2022 Kwik Trip 250 Odds: +50000

Michael McDowell pilots the No. 34 Ford Mustang of Front Row Motorsports. Although the veteran is yet to find glory this season, his recent performance tells us that he should be part of the sleepers list.

McDowell sits 21st in the standings. He collected just 355 points this season but started to find traction in recent weeks. He has not finished below 15th place in his last five appearances. On top of that, his solid streak includes a pair of top-eight finishes for the Front Row Motorsports driver. So far, McDowell bagged six top-ten finishes and a top-five in 18 starts, giving him a solid sleeper position in the 2022 Kwik Trip 250.
