Which golfer between Justin Thomas and Jon Rahm deserves the longest look to win the Sentry Tournament of Champions?

Both are worth a look. Thomas finished third in last year’s tournament at Kapalua Resort, shooting a -24 and a single stroke off English and Joaquin Neimann at -25. Thomas is also in very good form. He finished third at the Worldwide Technology Championship at Mayakoba in November and then rallied for a 64 in the final round at the Hero World Challenge in Albany to secure a fifth-place finish.

Unlike Thomas, Rahm isn’t playing well. In his lone 2021-2022 tournament, the Fortinet Championship, the Spanish star missed the cut. He could return to his best form because he shot a -20 at last year’s Sentry. But that’s no guarantee. So if you want to go chalky, consider backing Thomas over Rahm.

Among Morikawa, DeChambeau, and Schauffele, which golfer has the best chance of winning the Sentry Tournament of Champions?

At the 2021 Sentry, Schauffele shot a -21, and DeChambeau and Morikawa both shot a -20. Among the three, Bryson is probably the golfer to stay away from. He had a great Sentry last year, yes, but he hasn’t played a ton of golf. The 73 and 74 he shot at the Hero World suggests he’s not playing his best. Schauffele has a decent shot to take the top spot. At the Hero World, Xander shot a 70-70-70-68.

So if he’s in position to grab the trophy on Sunday, he could close the deal. Collin is tough to back after the fourth-round meltdown at the Hero World in his last. But Morikawa had dominated the first three rounds with a 68-68-64. The major winner will be the most talented golfer in the field, making him the overall best play at the odds.

Name a golfer with odds of +1400 to +2500 who can win the Sentry?

Sungjae Im shot a -21 at the 2021 tournament. He’s worth a look for sure. The 23-year-old won the Shriners Children’s Open last October. Im took time off after finishing nineteenth at the Houston Open in November. If he’s at his best, he can win this. Viktor Hovland is on the verge of becoming a star. So consider backing the +1400 shot. Hovland won the Worldwide Technology and the Hero World Challenge. His skill is undeniable. If choices like Schauffele, Morikawa, DeChambeau and Thomas don’t step it up, Hovland can make it 3 trophies in a row.

Is there a golfer at odds of +2800 to +4000 with a shot to win the Sentry Tournament of Champions?

English has a chance. Often after a PGA player gets a feel for a course, they play well over the course for years. Harris also finished fourteenth at the Hero World Challenge. So he’s in decent enough form to make a run for a second straight title. Talor Gooch won the RSM Classic this past November. He didn’t enter at the 2021 Sentry, but he should play well this week. At the odds, Gooch might be the best underdog on the board.
