The 2022 Travelers Championship is the one and only PGA TOUR tournament held in the state of Connecticut in the quaint suburbs of Cromwell south of the capital city of Hartford. TPC River Highlands has hosted each installment of the event since 1984 and has been voted as the best golf course by PGA TOUR members in 2017 and 2018, which is just a couple of reasons why the event has been a mainstay on the TOUR’s campaign.
A massive prize pool worth $8.3 million is on the line at the 2022 Travelers Championship, which is up from the $7.4 million total payout from last year (a $900,000 increase). The tournament follows suit with the rest of this season’s PGA TOUR events with prize purses seing significant increases across the board.
