Then in the quarterfinals, Tiafoe beat 9-seed Andrey Rublev. The 24 year old American has beaten Rafa, Rublev, and 14-seed Diego Schwartzman during this tournament. For sure he can beat Alcaraz.

Although Alcaraz has won 4 singles titles this season, none of the four were major tournaments. In fact, the semifinals at the US Open is the furthest Alcaraz has gone in a major tourney in 2022, which means the 19 year old is hungry, starving, for a major title.
Nothing fazes Alcaraz. Some of the shots he had versus Jannik Sinner were downright breathtaking. Not only that, but Alcaraz should bounce back from the 7-set marathon versus Sinner no problem because he’s 19.
