Novak Djokovic vs. Cameron Norrie

  • 2022 Wimbledon Odds: Novak Djokovic -7.5 +101 / Cameron Norrie +7.5 -118

Cameron Norrie has played great tennis during the tournament. Norrie beat Pablo Andujar, Jaume Munar, Steve Johnson, and Tommy Paul on his way to a quarterfinals matchup against David Goffin. Goffin won 2 of the first 3 sets. Norrie picked it up, winning the last couple of sets to complete an impressive comeback victory. For his efforts, Norrie gets to face one of the greatest tennis players of all time.

Novak Djokovic hasn’t played his best tennis leading up to the semifinals. He was down 2 sets to zero against Jannik Sinner in the quarterfinals before rallying to win 3 straight sets. The fact Djokovic was down 2 sets should give Norrie fans hope. The fact Novak rallied for three straight sets should give Djokovic fans reason to back their player. The fact that not only did Novak rally for 3 straight set victories, but won those 3 sets 6-3, 6-2, 6-2, should give game total players a reason to go with Djoker.

The favorite in this turned on the switch in the final three-set performance versus Jannik Sinner. Djokovic should play brilliant tennis from here on out. Expect quick work of Norrie. Djokovic will win this 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 or maybe 6-3, 6-3, 6-3. Either way, the margin of victory will be a least 8 games.

2022 Wimbledon Odds: Novak Djokovic

Nick Kyrgios vs. Rafael Nadal

  • 2022 Wimbledon Odds: Nick Kyrgios -128 / Rafael Nadal +109

Nick Kyrgios got by Stefanos Tsitsipas in the fourth round and then beat Christian Garin in the quarterfinals to stamp his first ticket to a major semifinal. Kyrgios’ victory over Garin impressed big time because Nick didn’t allow Garin to win a single set. The win over Tsitsipas also impresses. But although Nick Kyrgios is playing terrific tennis, he could be in some trouble on Friday.

Rafael Nadal kept his Grand Slam hopes alive with a brilliant come from behind victory over Taylor Fritz. Fritz, the 11-seed at Wimbledon, has won 2 singles titles this year. 1 of the wins happened after Fritz upset Rafa at the BNP Paribas Finals. The American was on a roll. So the fact Nadal won even though he had a ton of pain in his abdomen can’t be overlooked. What also can’t be overlooked is that Rafa had to play 5-sets and a 10-point tiebreaker to beat Fritz.

Nadal won’t go into this match one-hundred percent. But even an 80% Rafael Nadal can’t beat a 100% Nick Kyrgios. Rafa is 6-3 in the head-to-head and has won 3 straight, including beating Kyrgios at the 2019 Wimbledon tournament. Rafael Nadal gets it done on Friday. The victory will set up a gargantuan matchup on Sunday between two of the best men’s players to ever pick up a tennis racket.

2022 Wimbledon Odds: Rafael Nadal
