2023-24 NBA Pacific Division Odds
The most star-studded division in the league, the Pacific Division faces a plethora of questions ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season. With aging veterans, injury concerns, and new faces to boot, this space is something many basketball fans and bettors keep a close eye on. Each team won at least one division title since the 2023-2014 campaign, with the Kings being the latest winner last season despite entering their run as sleepers. More than that, since this is arguably the best division, it also sees the most injuries. This opens the door for more unexpected narratives that make for an intriguing division.

Top Picks to Win the 2023 NBA Pacfifc Division
The Suns made the biggest moves this year. After welcoming Kevin Durant last season, the franchise traded Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, and picks for star point guard Bradley Beal. The former WIzards man is far from the perfect piece, but his combination of shooting, playmaking, and creation can make him a solid fit next to Devin Booker and KD. No team in the league can boast that much firepower, and if the trio stays healthy, expect big things coming from the Suns as +165 favorites to win the Pacific Division. Moreover, Phoenix did a great job scooping up minimum deals and underrated players to add more depth to the squad. If Deandre Ayton returns to form–since becoming a fickle piece in the lineup–the Suns should be extremely competitive this season.
The Dubs’ title defense year was extremely disappointing. They doubled down and turned over the back half of their roster, with the main addition being Chris Paul swapped in for Jordan Poole. Questions loom over how Point God adjusts to Steve Kerr’s fast and fluid strategy, much less how the vet guard responds to a reduced role and will likely come off the bench. Nonetheless, he is a more reliable player than Poole, and might finally help regain stability when Steph is off the floor. The rest of the core remains the same, with a few veterans stepping aside for younger talent like Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody. With Curry, Draymond, and Klay all aging, we expect Kerr to play around with his rotations more often than before. Andrew Wiggins and Kevon Looney complement the aforementioned, and their ceiling is relatively high. Golden State enters the season as +320 favorites to take the Pacific Division top spot.
LeBron James and the rest of the Lakers peaked during the latter stage of the 2022-23 season when they shot up the standings following the trade deadline. The Lakers more or less have the same lineup with a few additions to add another dimension to the team’s depth. Retaining Austin Reaves is a huge steal for the organization and one of the best deals they made this year. Everything else, such as Gabe Vincent and Taurean Prince, looks solid on paper. The Purple and Gold should be competitive this year, or even better if James and Anthony Davis stay healthy.
Top Sleeper Picks to Win the 2023 NBA Pacific Division
LA went through a nightmare of a season. Still, the roster stays relatively unchanged this summer. Russell Westbrook should be better than the former Clippers guard/John Wall duo. Bones Hyland and Kenyon Martin Jr. incorporate much-needed youth into the squad, and Mason Plumlee is a huge upgrade over Moses Brown. Still, the core team remains old and sluggish, and it lacks high-level starters that can cover for the injury-prone Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. You can’t rule out this team when you look at the paper, but there’s a good reason they enter the season as +567 Pacific Division sleepers.
The Sacramento Kings are the surprise team of last season. They were incredibly competitive and fun to watch. We will see all the core players, including star big man Sabonis, have another shot at a solid playoff run. The Kings are counting on further growing its lineup from young players, especially Keegan Murray. Sacramento made additions like Aleksandar Vezenkov from the Euroleague. They should remain solid and if the younger pool can show improvement, we anticipate an even better Kings despite joining the conversation as +890sleepers to win the Pacific Division.
