Last year’s Brazilian Grand Prix was one race Max didn’t win. In fact, Verstappen had one of the worst performances of the 2022 Formula 1 Season.
The Red Bull driver didn’t just get shut out of the top three. Verstappen crossed the line in sixth place behind five other drivers. Mercedes driver George Russell won the checkered flag followed by teammate Lewis Hamilton in second.
Ferrari grabbed the next two spots: Carlos Sainz Jr. finished third and Charles Leclerc finished fourth. Fernando Alonso finished fifth. Then Verstappen crossed the line.
Top Pick to Win the 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix
Ferrari can’t get it together. A few years ago, Ferrari was unbeatable. Now, one of Formula 1’s most historic teams struggled to notch top five finishes much less win a race.
But that’s just it. Charles Leclerc drove great last Sunday in Mexico, finishing third behind Lewis Hamilton in second and Verstappen in first. Yes, Charles was over 23 seconds behind the winner.
However, Verstappen is unbeatable unless he beats himself. So if we’re going to back a driver to beat him, and this could be the race to do it since Max struggled in the 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix, why not go for a driver that offers a decent price.
Second Pick to Win the 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton could win this. Mercedes is thoroughly embarrassed at how they’ve won a single race in the past two seasons.
So constructor and driver are motivated to get at least one victory before the end of the 2023 F1 Season. Last Sunday, Lewis finished second behind Verstappen.
The time difference, 13.85 seconds, was an eternity. But, again, if Verstappen is going to lose, he’s going to lose because he just doesn’t have it. So Hamilton is as good of a pick as any if you don’t mind the second choice odds.
Third Pick to Win the 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix
Carlos Sainz is the last driver to upset max Verstappen. Carlos’ win came in the Singapore Grand Prix. Once in a while Sainz steps it up and he did finish third in Mexico City last Sunday.
If you believe, the odds are more than fair. So don’t discount Ferrari’s other driver if you’re looking to beat MV Legend.
Top Underdog Pick to Win the 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix
George Russell thought he’d have a breakout season. But all that happened in 2023 is Max Verstappen got better. So George is searching for his first victory of 2023.
Last year, Russell won this. History might repeat itself. So we must throw George in the mix as a driver that could upset Verstappen should Max have one of those rare bad races.
