2023 Grammy Awards Betting Odds and Predictions

By Jeff Stinger

At this moment, most bettors are fixated on the developments leading up to Super Bowl LVII. However, there’s also a huge spectacle happening in the world of music on Pro Bowl Sunday this February 5th, which is the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. Who are the top recording artists in contention for a Grammy and are also worth considering placing some stakes on this weekend?

Betting Odds and Predictions for the 2023 Grammy Awards

Album of the Year

  • Beyoncé – Renaissance (-152)
  • Adele – 30 (+275)
  • Harry Styles – Harry’s House (+300)
  • Kendrick Lamar – Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers (+1,800)
  • Bad Bunny – Un Verano Sin Ti (+2,500)
  • Brandi Carlile – In These Silent Days (+3,130)
  • Lizzo – Special (+4,000)
  • ABBA – Voyage (+5,000)
  • Mary J. Blige – Good Morning Gorgeous (+6,600)
  • Coldplay – Music of the Spheres (+6,600)

The empresses of the Grammys are back at it, as Beyoncé and Adele are once again front-runners to win the Album of the Year award. Our vote goes to odds-on favorite Renaissance, with Queen Bey likely to win the big award of the night along with a handful of other wins amongst her nine total nominations – the most noms amongst all artists this year. Beyoncé’s tribute to old-school house and techno is a technical masterpiece that marries classic dance music with today’s trends. Meanwhile, Adele’s latest effort has her sticking with her bread and butter with little variation to her style, and it’s this lack of creativity that could factor into 30’s shortcomings at winning AOTY.

Record of the Year

  • Adele – “Easy On Me” (-125)
  • Harry Styles – “As It Was” (+160)
  • Beyoncé – “Break My Soul” (+800)
  • Steve Lacy – “Bad Habit” (+1,600)
  • Lizzo – “About Damn Time” (+1,600)
  • Brandi Carlile ft. Lucius – “You and Me on the Rock” (+2,200)
  • Doja Cat – “Woman” (+2,800)
  • Kendrick Lamar – “The Heart Part 5” (+3,300)
  • ABBA – “Don’t Shut Me Down” (+5,000)
  • Mary J. Blige – “Good Morning Gorgeous” (+6,600)

Us being Doja Cat stans aside, this is where Adele picks up a win in one of the major categories. The production for “Easy On Me” really puts Adele’s unparalleled voice front and center with fantastic mixing to make her stand out. Record of the Year goes out to the best-overall produced track and few come close to the pristine yet heartbreaking production that Adele’s team has with her latest chart-topper. Although, we wouldn’t be surprised either if Beyoncé steals this from her rival given how strangely familiar and utterly catchy her banger “Break My Soul” is.

Song of the Year

  • Adele – “Easy On Me” (-120)
  • Harry Styles – “As It Was” (+225)
  • Taylor Swift – “All Too Well” (+350)
  • Beyoncé – “Break My Soul” (+1,600)
  • Kendrick Lamar – “The Heart Part 5” (+1,600)
  • Lizzo – “About Damn Time” (+2,200)
  • Steve Lacy – “Bad Habit” (+4,000)
  • Gayle – “ABCDEFU” (+5,000)
  • Bonnie Raitt – “Just Like That” (+5,000)
  • DJ Khaled ft. Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, John Legend, and Fridayy – “God Did” (+5,000)

This is yet another award for Adele to lose, as her heart-rending tale about the ebbs and flows of emotions following a divorce is as award-bait-worthy as they come. On the other hand, songwriting is also a strong suit for several of the nominees here.

Kendrick Lamar’s jazzed-up rant about black-on-black crime and social inequality is a strong candidate, but his passive-aggressive turn may turn some of the more traditional Grammy voters off. That being said, the Song of the Year award will likely go to another Grammy royalty in Taylor Swift, whose 10-minute version of “All Too Well” is a resounding epic that further emphasizes Swift’s stranglehold as the best American pop songwriter of her generation.
