Top Choice to Win the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Championship

Christopher Bell also participated in the last four in 2022. Bell clinched a spot after winning in Martinsville last year.

History didn’t repeat itself because Bell finished seventh at Martinsville last Sunday. However, Christopher had already clinched a final four berth after winning the race at Home-Stead Miami Speedway.

So there was no reason for Christopher to put it all on the line last Sunday. In fact, the seventh place fiish is a great sign if you’re looking to back Bell to get it done. He finished in the top ten without having to blow out his car.

We should expect a much better drive at Phoenix from Joe Gibbs’s hope for a title this year than we saw in 2022. The thing is, Bell’s 2022 performance, where he finished tenth, wasn’t bad.

Take the longest shot among the four seriously to win the title. Christopher Bell knocked on the NASCAR Cup Championship door last year. This year, he has a great shot of breaking down the door.

Second Choice to Win the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Championship

Chase Elliott had all sorts of issues this season, which is the main reason William Byron finally broke out with the season so many expected from him since he burst onto the season as a rookie in 2018.

Byron is just 25. It makes sense why Hendrick would put William in Jeff Gordon’s number 24 car. William has the makings of one of the greats.

This season, William won six races, grabbed three poles, and scored a total of fourteen top 5 finishes. For sure, Byron can win the NASCAR Cup on Sunday. He also offers much better odds than teammate Kyle Larson.

Third Choice to Win the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Championship

The favorite will be tough to beat. Kyle Larson won the 2021 NASCAR Cup Championship. So this is nothing new.

Although Kyle won just four races this season, two less than teammate William Byron, he played the game perfectly, landing seventeen total top 10 and fourteen top 5 finishes.

Larson finished fourth in this last year. So it makes sense why Kyle would step into his car at Phoenix Raceway the chalk to get it done.

Top Underdog to Win the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series Championship

In 2022, Ryan Blaney qualified second at Phoenix in the NASCAR Cup Championship. Ryan raced well, finishing second behind winner Joey Logano.

For sure, Blaney will be ready to give it his all on Sunday. But Hendrick is motivated to win the title, has a couple of drivers, and should be tough to beat.

Also, Joe Gibbs hopes Christopher Bell is their next great driver. Bell might be due. Then again, Blaney could be due as well. Ryan has been one of the better NASCAR drivers for the past three seasons. So Ryan taking the title wouldn’t be a shock.

If you believe, go for it. Every driver in NASCAR’s Final Four offers fair odds except maybe Kyle Larson. So backing Blaney to win isn’t a bad move if you believe.
