2022 Pala Casino 400 Recap

Last year, WISE sponsored the race. So it was called the WISE Power 400 instead of the Pala Casino 400. Not matter what we call it, the finish of last year’s event left no doubt that winner Kyle Larson is one of NASCAR’s top drivers.

Second place went to Richard Childress racer Austin Dillon. Erik Jones finished third and Daniel Suarez finished fourth. Team Penske driver and 2022 NASCAR Cup winner Joey Logano finished fifth.

Top Choice to Win the 2023 Pala Casino 400

At Daytona last week, the defending Cup champ drove great. Joey Logano started third. Joey moved up a spot to finish second.

Logano also led more laps than Rickey Stenhouse Jr. Joey led 12 laps while Ricky led 10. Not only that, but JL crossed the finish line in fifth last year.

Team Penske’s top driver doesn’t always start out hot. If the performance at Daytona is any indication, though, Logano should be ultra tough to beat on Sunday.

Second Top Choice to Win the 2023 Pala Casino 400

We should throw out Kyle Larson’s eighteenth finish at Daytona last week. A lot of top drivers, including Larson teammate Chase Elliott, struggle at Daytona International Speedway.

Larson won this event last year. Not only that, but Kyle knows he had a chance to take the Cup in 2022 and failed to do so. Expect Kyle to grab a top five spot during qualifying on Friday. Then, the chalk will have a chance in the final few laps on Sunday to get the checkered flag.

Third Top Choice to Win the 2023 Pala Casino 400

In 2022, Christopher Bell had an awful Pala Casino 400. Christopher finished thirty-six. So unless he crashes on Sunday, there’s no way he finishes worse in 2023 than he did last year. Bell led 20 laps at Daytona last week. He couldn’t keep it going, which is why he crossed the line third behind Logano and Stenhouse Jr. If you believe Bell can win this, know that the odds are more than fair.

Daniel Suarez not only raced well at Daytona last week, but Daniel also had a great 2022 Pala Casino 400. First, about that Daytona performance.

Suarez finished in seventh, which was a huge surprise. Now regarding the fourth place finish in this last year, it was legit. Suarez has turned into a sneaky good NASCAR driver.

Daniel could have his breakout race on Sunday. If you’re looking to back an underdog, Daniel Suarez looks like one of the better plays on the board.
