Top Choice to Win the 2024 Enjoy Illinois 300

William Byron’s form took a hit at both Dover and Kansas, where he finished thirty-third and twenty-third. But in the last non-all star event, Byron got back to driving his best, finished sixth at Darlington.

In this last year, Byron finished second behind Ryan Blaney. William has won 3 races and scored 8 top ten and 4 top five finishes so far in 2024. So there is plenty of reason to believe the Hendrick driver gets it done over teammate Kyle Larson.

Also, the odds make Byron more than playable. Backing William to win at Charlotte Motor Speedway makes sense.

Second Choice to Win the 2024 Enjoy Illinois 300

The 2023 Coca-Cola 600 winner may gear up for the second half season push. Darlington was a disaster, but the defending Cup champ finished twelfth at Kansas and seventh at Dover.

In last week’s all star race, Ryan Blaney finished a decent fifth. For sure, Blaney is going to get hot at some point this season. He could start to heat up on Sunday with a repeat victory at Charlotte. Give the defending champ much respect to get it done.

Third Choice to Win the 2024 Enjoy Illinois 300

Kyle Larson’s second place finish at Dover and victory at Kansas are the reasons oddsmakers have made him the +450 favorite. Also, Kyle finished fourth in the all-star race.

In 2023, though, Larson didn’t race so well at the Coca-Cola 600. Kyle ended up thirtieth. So at the odds, he’s a play against to put on top. But Larson should produce a top five finish. If you believe in him, go for it.

Top Underdog to Win the 2024 Enjoy Illinois 300

Ty Gibbs finished twenty-sixth in this race last year. However, Ty was a rookie in 2023. He’s not longer a rookie in 2024.

Also, Gibbs raced well at the Goodyear 400, finishing second behind Brad Keselowski. In addition, Ty won the all star open race last Sunday. There’s plenty to like about the +1600 choice to pop the bottle of champagne on Sunday.
