Top Choice to Win the 2024 USA Today 301
When drivers like Ryan Blaney get it going, they keep it going. Ryan knocked on the door at Sonoma, starting third and then finishing seventh. He and his crew put it all together last Sunday at Iowa Speedway, starting second and then finishing first.
At last year’s race at New Hampshire, then it was called the Crayon 301, Blaney started fifth but ended up twenty-second. Ryan’s going to have be much better to win on Sunday. Last year, though, he didn’t have the momentum he has going into this year’s 301 at New Hampshire. Give the defending Cup champ a shot to get it done.
Second Choice to Win the 2024 USA Today 301
Among the Gibbs drivers, Hamlin appears set to score the best checkered flag victory. Christopher Bell appears best set to score the win.
The +450 co-favorite hasn’t finished worse than ninth in the last four races. The ninth came at Sonoma. Last week, Bell finished fourth and two races ago, Bell finished seventh. At Charlotte, Christopher took the checkered flag. A win is more than possible. So if you don’t mind the odds, go for it.
Third Choice to Win the 2024 USA Today 301
Joey Logano drove well at Iowa Speedway, scoring a sixth place finish after starting eleventh on the grid. That alone makes him a threat. What makes Joey a top three choice is the fact he finished second behind Martin Truex Jr. in this last year.
Joey has yet to win a race. He never gets shut out. So Logan is worth a look if you’re looking for a driver to cross the line first and don’t like the odds on the Gibbs drivers and Ryan Blaney.
Top Underdog to Win the 2024 USA Today 301
Byron finished twenty-fourth in this event last year. So backing Byron takes some courage. Still, he picked it up at Iowa last Sunday, scoring a second place finish behind Blaney.
The second is a sign he and his crew are returning to their best form. Byron has already won three races this year. A fourth is a real possibility. Also, the odds are much better than what the Gibbs drivers, Blaney, and Logano offer. Pull the trigger on the Hendrick driver if you think he parlays the second in Iowa to win in New Hampshire on Sunday.
