Wimbledon, tennis’ third major tournament of the year, kicks off on July 1 and runs to July 14. As of June 23, most expect Carlos Alcaraz to secure the men’s top seed, while Iga Swiatek is almost assured of stepping onto the All England Tennis courts as the WTA’s top seed. Odds have landed for the tennis’ third major. Check out tennis odds, analysis, and predictions in our 2024 Wimbledon Preview.

2024 Wimbledon Tournament Info

  • When: July 1 – July 14
  • Where: All England Tennis and Croquet Club, London, England
  • Surface: Green

Is Alcaraz, Sinner, or Djokovic the best bet among the favorites?

Djokovic offers higher odds than he has in a while. There’s a reason, though. Djoker couldn’t finish the French Open. He doesn’t have the same stamina that he displayed in 2023.

So it’s difficult to back Djokovic even if we’re getting a decent price. Alcaraz outlasted Sinner in a fantastic French Open Semifinal. Carlos then went on to beat Alexander Zverev to secure the title.

For sure, Alcaraz can beat Sinner again. But Jannik won the Australian Open and could be slightly better on Wimbledon’s grass than Alcaraz. Sinner is the pick among the favorites.

Who is the better play between Zverev and Medvedev?

Zverev took the next step by making it all the way to the French Open Final. He fell to Alcaraz in a match where he played well. Medvedev, though, is the better pick among the two.

Last year, Medvedev marched to the Wimbledon semis. He has shown an affinity to play over the surface. Also, the odds make Daniil more attractive than Zverev. If Medvedev shows up in top form, he can upset the favorites and win it all.

Which +2000 choice can upset the favorites and win the Wimbledon plate?

Among the +2000 choices, Jack Draper looks best. Draper has home court advantage because he’s British. Not only that, but at the Cinch Championship, Draper knocked out Carlos Alcaraz in the second round.

Draper lost in the third round to Tommy Paul. Still, Wimbledon could be his coming out party. In addition, Draper has won a singles title and is 18-12 on the season in singles matches.

Is Sabalenka, Swiatek, Rybakina, or Gauff the best bet among the favorites?

Swiatek’s best finish at Wimbledon was the quarterfinals last year. Iga doesn’t play as well over grass as she does over clay. Sabalenka made it to the semifinals at Wimbledon in 2021 and 2023.

Aryna is a better play over Iga. Gauff’s best finish at the Wimbledon courts was the fourth round. Coco has never gone past the fourth round.

So we’re down to Sabalenka and Rybakina. Elena won the 2022 Wimbledon title. She loves the grass and should be at the top of her game after prepping at the Rothesay International Eastbourne this week. Rybakina is the play among the chalks.

Who is the better play between Osaka and Jabeur?

Raducanu, Zheng, Andreeva, and Vondrousova have had mild Wimbledon success. Elina Svitolina has made it to the semis at Wimbledon in two year, 2019 and 2023.

At the French Open, Svitolina played well, making it to the fourth round before losing to Elena Rybakina. Svitolina has been preparing for Wimbledon and is being a serious threat to upset the favorites. The +2500 odds are slightly overlaid on the top underdog play.
