Bayern Munich vs. Inter Milan

Inter, the Serie A leading squad by 3 points over Napoli, is in decent enough form to make this a game. The draw against AC Milan in the Coppa Italia was nice. Following up with a draw versus overmatched Parma was a bouncing effort. So we should see more from Inter.

But Bayern is difficult to beat or even hang with on their pitch. Munich is pulling away from rival Leverkusen in the Bundesliga. Also, Bayern had to beat Leverkusen to advance in the Champions League.

Battle-tested Bayern gets the job done. Expect a low-scoring match that ends in the second half of a late goal by the home team.

Arsenal vs. Real Madrid

When did Real last enter a Champions League match, the underdog? Sure, Real faces a tough home side in Arsenal. The Gunners are in excellent form after dusting Eindhoven 9-3 on the aggregate in the Round of 16 and then beating Chelsea and Fulham in two straight EPL matches.

The draw against Everton isn’t much of a worry since it was a road tilt. Also, Arsenal is the only team in the EPL standings with a remote shot of catching scorching Liverpool, so we have to give the Gunners respect.

But Real is a Champions League beast. Make no mistake: Real’s La Liga form is dreadful. El Blanco dropped a match to Valladolid in their last. Catching league leader and top rival Barca may not be possible.

Carlo Ancelotti, though, is a realist, which means he may have already given up on a Liga title and is looking to score the Champions League trophy instead. If that’s the case, Ancelotti will have the perfect game plan to keep Arsenal’s scorers from touching the back of the net with the ball, meaning Carlo gets his team to play to a draw. A draw sets up Real to send the Gunners packing in the second leg.

Paris Saint-Germain vs. Aston Villa

Villa will play hard, but this has the makings of a blowout. Look for Paris to run up the score like they did against Saint Etienne when beating that Ligue 1 rival 6-1. A 3-0 PSG win isn’t out of the question. So look for a prop you are comfortable backing or play a parlay on the number of PSG goals to the Paris moneyline.

Barcelona vs. Borussia Dortmund

Barcelona is loaded. Yamal, Lewandowski, Raphinha, Torres, Dani Olmo in mid along with de Jong. It’s incredible how Barca has bounced back after that fall when Messi decided to spurn his former squad and head to Miami.

Dortmund doesn’t have the ponies to keep up with Barca’s quick-tempo attack. Barcelona’s D is also incredible because a player like Jules Konde, the French superstar, has developed into one of the best at his position. Like in PSG’s match, add a prop bet to your moneyline play on Barca to create a nice payout.
