The 2025 March Madness Final Four is set. The top seeds in each region did the job in the Elite Eight. On one side of the bracket, SEC rivals Florida and Auburn throw down for the right to play on Monday night. Then, on the other side of the bracket, 1-Duke throttled SEC squad Alabama to set up a matchup against the Big 12’s best team, the Houston Cougars. Florida Gators vs. Auburn Tigers

• When: Saturday, April 5 at 6:09 p.m. ET
• Where: Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas
• Against the Spread Odds: Florida -2.5
• Moneyline Odds: Auburn +126 / Florida -152
• Over/Under Odds: 160.5

Auburn played great to get by Michigan State, but beating the Florida Gators is a whole other thing. In the one-on-one matchup, Florida prevailed, dusting the Tigers 90-81. The game happened in Alabama on Auburn’s court, which is one of the reasons the Gators are the favorites heading into the showdown on Saturday. Another reason? Auburn played great to beat Sparty, but it may have come at a cost. Johni Broome had to sit on the bench for a time due to a slight injury. Any injury heading into a Final Four matchup could be the one that ends the dream.

It’s a problem that it happened to arguably the top player in the nation. Also, Florida has had a much smoother Final Four ride. The Gators blasted Mizzou, Bama, and Tennessee on their way to the SEC Championship. They dusted Norfolk State, UConn, Maryland, and Texas Tech on their way to the Final Four. UConn and Texas Tech lost to Florida by 4 and 5 points, but the Gators drubbed their other opponents. Florida gets it done.

Duke Blue Devils vs. Houston Cougars

• Where: Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas
• Against the Spread Odds: Duke -4.5
• Moneyline Odds: Houston +180 / Duke -220
• Over/Under Odds: TBA

Going against Duke has led to losing much money during this tournament. But here’s the thing: For the first time in the NCAA Tournament, the Dookies face off against a defense-first team.

Arizona and Alabama tried to beat Duke playing Blue Devils’ basketball, meaning they wanted to run and gun with Cooper Flagg and his mates. Zona had a much better game because of their star player, Caleb Love. But the Dookies dominated Bama.

Houston heads into this off their best performance of the season, an incredible 69-50 victory over the Tennessee Volunteers. The Cougs are on an impressive 17-game winning streak. In every win, they prevailed by playing tough defense.

Duke could struggle against Kelvin Sampson’s squad. What happens when things aren’t nearly as easy for the young Blue Devils versus Houston’s D as against Bama’s? Early bettors have given us a clue because the Devils have fallen from -5.5 to -4.5 favorites, and it’s been a day. Taking a shot on the Cougs to end Duke’s dream makes sense.
