NFL Preseason Week 2 is here. In Week 2, we should expect many more starters to hit the gridiron, which means teams like the Chiefs, Rams, Commanders, and Bengals, contenders to lift the Lombardi this season, should have excellent chances of covering spreads. Top 2025 NFL Preseason Week 2 Games to Bet On
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Seattle Seahawks
- When: Friday, August 15th. 10:00 p.m. ET
- strong>NFL Preseason Week 2 Odds: Chiefs -161 / Seahawks +135
Jalen Milroe impressed in his first NFL action. The former Alabama signal caller did a good job when called upon in Seattle’s first NFL Preseason game. Milroe should get some snaps. So will Sam Darnold.
Overall, though, Seattle isn’t as talented as the Chiefs, and Andy Reid will want his squad to grab a victory. The line, less than 3, flatters KC, which should play Patrick Mahomes at least for a half in this.
2025 NFL Week 2 Pick: Chiefs -2.5
Miami Dolphins vs. Detroit Lions
- When: Saturday, August 16th. 1:00 p.m. ET
- strong>NFL Preseason Week 2 Odds: Dolphins -182 / Lions +150
Detroit got thumped in their first preseason game. We shouldn’t expect the Lions to play too many of their starters since this will be Detroit’s third preseason foray.
The Lions know what they’ve got. The 17-14 win over Atlanta in the second preseason matchup was a nice win for them. Miami will play Tua and possibly Tyreek Hill. The Dolphins have more to figure out, which means Miami should throw more caution to the wind, so to speak. Fins cover.
2025 NFL Week 2 Pick: Dolphins -3.5
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Los Angeles Rams
- When: Saturday, August 16th. 7:00 p.m. ET
- strong>NFL Preseason Week 2 Odds: Chargers -185 / Rams +150
Chargers at Rams will be a decent game, but this one goes to the Bolts. The Rams can’t take the chance of playing Matthew Stafford, whose injury may be much worse than previously thought. They also can’t play Puca Nucua, who has a history of injuries.
The Rams’ defense should be excellent. It will shut down the Chargers for a time, but in the end, LAC scores the cover victory in what should be an under game. Consider a bolt to under parlay.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Las Vegas Raiders
- When: Saturday, August 16th. 4:00 p.m. ET
- strong>NFL Preseason Week 2 Odds: Broncos -270 / 49ers +210
Take the points on the Niners. The last thing the Raiders will do is have Ashton Jeanty, their top pick and one of the best running backs to come out of college in a long time, run it all day in a preseason game.
Don’t get me wrong, the Raiders will give Jeanty some snaps, but running backs can get beat up in a hurry in the NFL. Vegas knows this. So the Niners have the edge on offense, whether they play Brock Purdy or Mac Jones.
2025 NFL Week 2 Pick: 49ers +6
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. New Orleans Saints
- When: Sunday, August 17th. 1:00 p.m. ET
- strong>NFL Preseason Week 2 Odds: Jaguars -125 / Saints +105
This has the makings of a rout. The Saints don’t have a real starter at quarterback. They might be a few weeks into the season. But right now, Spencer Rattler is QB1 and Tyler Shough, a 26-year-old rookie, is QB2.
If Trevor Lawrence plays one or two series before handing things over to Nick Mullens, it’s over. Saints go down by at least 6 points.
2025 NFL Week 2 Pick: Jaguars -2.5
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Washington Commanders
- When: Monday, August 18th. 9:00 p.m. ET
- strong>NFL Preseason Week 2 Odds: Bengals -169 / Commanders +139
The thinking is that Washington won’t play Jayden Daniels. What happens if they do? If Daniels plays, the Commanders have the upper hand since the Bengals will likely only play Joe Burrow a series, if that.
Also, D.C. is going to want to work Deebo Samuel into the mix. Samuel still has enough talent to be a force for Washington. He could take this game over if Cincy sits a few defensive starters.
