2025 NFL Preseason Week 3 Betting Preview

By Jeff Stinger

NFL Preseason Week 3 is here. We shouldn’t expect teams to play too many of their starters. The reason is that this week, teams play their preseason finale. Things start with a bang on Thursday when the Pats take on the G-Men in New York. The Giants have said Russell Wilson is their starter. So we should see Jaxon Dart, who has been on fire this preseason. Bears at Chiefs and Ravens at Commanders are a couple of other games to circle for NFL Preseason Week 3. Check out NFL odds, analysis, and picks for this week’s top preseason games.

Top 2025 NFL Preseason Week 3 Games to Bet On

New England Patriots vs. New York Giants

Some are expecting the Patriots to win the AFC East this season over the Buffalo Bills. New England’s ascension makes some sense considering they’ve got a star quarterback in Derek Maye and a defense that will be lights out.

However, in this game, it’s all about Dart and the Giants. The former Ole Miss starting QB has been sensational. He’ll break down a Patriots’ D to see which players will fill out the roster.

2025 NFL Week 3 Pick: Giants -6.5

Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Jets

Neither squad is going to play many starters. The Jets have the edge because they will want to get a good look at Adrian Martinez and Brady Cook. Martinez has wheels. It felt like he had a ten-year college career, bouncing around between Nebraska and K-State. I’m sure I’m missing a school or two.

In any case, Martinez should be good for at least one rushing TD in this. The champs have no reason to play any of their first or second team players. The Eagles know what to do. So the Jets take this.

2025 NFL Week 3 Pick: Jets -3

Chicago Bears vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City usually plays well in the preseason. So far, it’s been a bust, with two straight losses. The losses were by massive margins. Nobody needs to worry yet. No team, though, wants to enter the regular season this low.

KC figures to step it up for a win. The Bears won’t play Caleb Williams or any of their top players in this. There’s no reason to get anyone hurt on the road in a preseason game versus an AFC team.

2025 NFL Week 3 Pick: Chiefs -2.5

Baltimore Ravens vs. Washington Commanders

This should be the easiest pick of the week. Ravens’ head coach John Harbaugh uses the preseason to get his team into a winning mindset. It’s worked throughout Harbaugh’s entire tenure in Baltimore.

No reason to go against the 2–0 Ravens in the last preseason game. There will be as many Baltimore fans in the stands as Commanders’ fans.

2025 NFL Week 3 Pick: Ravens -2.5

Denver Broncos vs. New Orleans Saints

The Broncos have played fantastic football in their last two preseason games. The defense looks like one of the top units in the NFL, while the offense is on fire. Denver is a nice SB futures play right now at +2800 to +3000.

The Saints look like a disaster. Everything starts at the QB position, where neither Tyler Shough nor Spencer Rattler has excelled. Denver could hold back and still cover the spread.

2025 NFL Week 3 Pick: Broncos -5.5

Seattle Seahawks vs. Green Bay Packers

This is a 50/50 game. We prefer 50/50 games with a spread line of 1 point or less, as this gives us at least a 50% chance of winning our bet by simply tossing a coin.

In this case, we’ll toss a coin with some good old-fashioned NFL handicapping. The game is in Green Bay, where the Packers almost always win, no matter the situation. The Pack has a loss and a win. The Hawks have a tie and a win. The Seahawks’ backup QBs are Jalen Milroe and Drew Lock. The Packers are Malik Willis and Sean Clifford. Milroe / Lock is the pair to go with.

2025 NFL Week 3 Pick: Seahawks +2.5
