2025 NFL Week 3 Betting Preview

NFL Week 3 brings plenty of on-field action and possible profit plays. The week kicks off on Thursday when the reeling Miami Dolphins, 0-2 to start the season, head to Buffalo to take on reigning MVP Josh Allen and the Bills. Then on Sunday, the Packers are at Cleveland, Dallas is at Chicago, and the Chiefs, searching for their first win, head to the Meadowlands to take on the Giants. Miami Dolphins vs. Buffalo Bills

• When: Thursday, September 18th. 8:15 p.m. ET

• NFL Week 3 Odds: Dolphins +520 / Bills -769

The line seems crazy high, right? Maybe, not. In their last two games, the Bills have scored 41 when beating the Ravens and 30 when taking down the Jets.

The Dolphins looked terrible in their Week 1 loss to the Colts. The Colts are a decent squad. The 33-27 loss to the Patriots was a somewhat decent effort. Miami’s issue is that they have zero defense, but Tua got back on track versus the Pats. Still, keeping this to a 13-point loss seems plausible but unlikely.

2025 NFL 3 Pick: Bills -12.5

Green Bay Packers vs. Cleveland Browns

• When: Sunday, September 21st. 1:00 p.m. ET

• NFL Week 3 Odds: Packers -400 / Browns +300

The Packers are the most complete team in the NFL. So it makes sense that they are close to 9-point favorites on the road versus Cleveland. The Browns came crashing down to earth after almost pulling off the upset over the Bengals in NFL Week 1 when Lamar and the Ravens drubbed them big time. Jordan Love and his mates roll.

2025 NFL 3 Pick: Packers +8

Los Angeles Rams vs. Philadelphia Eagles

• When: Sunday, September 21st. 1:00 p.m. ET

• NFL Week 3 Odds: Rams +150 / Eagles -185

This should be a great game. Philadelphia was terrific when marching into Kansas City and taking down the Chiefs 20-17.

It took the Rams some time to put it together in their scintillating 33-19 win over the Titans. But the Rams did. Not only did they put it together, but Matthew Stafford started to click with Davante Adams. So now, the Staff can go to Adams if teams take away Puka—bad news for the Eagles. Consider a moneyline play.

2025 NFL 3 Pick: Rams +3.5

Dallas Cowboys vs. Chicago Bears

• When: Sunday, September 21st. 4:25 p.m. ET

• NFL Week 3 Odds: Cowboys +101 / Bears -122

So far, Ben Johnson’s head coaching career hasn’t gone off as expected. The Bears’ offense looked good against the Vikings, but the team folded in the second half. Then in Week 2, Jared Goff and the Lions demolished Chicago to the tune of 52 points.

Expect the Cowboys, who have one of the better offenses in the league, to put up a lot of points in this. Neither team plays much defense. So the most logical play is on the over.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Giants

• When: Sunday, September 21st. 8:20 p.m. ET

• NFL Week 3 Odds: Chiefs (TBA) / Giants (TBA)

The Giants’ offense clicked big time versus the Dallas Cowboys, but laying wood on the Boys is different than trying to beat a Steve Spagnuolo-coached defense. KC is desperate for a victory after dropping its first two games. The Chiefs are a terrible cover team, but it’s impossible not to lay the points knowing how Andy Reid, Spags, and Patrick Mahomes will approach this game.

2025 NFL 3 Pick: Chiefs -5.5

Detroit Lions vs. Baltimore Ravens

• When: Monday, September 22nd. 8:15 p.m. ET

• NFL Week 3 Odds: Lions (TBA) / Ravens (TBA)

Detroit bounces after dropping 52 on the Bears. There’s also a chance that the Ravens’ defense reverts to what it was in NFL Week 1 when it gave up 41 to the Bills. So things can go both ways in this. Baltimore plays in a lot of over games. Although the line is 51.5, expect these two to get the over and then some.
