2025 NFL Week 6 Betting Preview

Odds are out for NFL Week 6. The Denver Broncos, fresh off handing the Philadelphia Eagles their first loss of the season, travel to the Meadowlands in New Jersey to take on the flailing Jets. The Broncos open as a healthy -7.5 fave. After blasting the Jets, Dallas gets a chance to beat up another overmatched team in Carolina on Sunday, and then on Sunday night, the Detroit Lions throw down against the Chiefs in KC. Denver Broncos vs. New York Jets

• When: Sunday, October 12th. 4:25 p.m. ET

• NFL Week 6 Odds: Broncos +139 / Jets -169

The Broncos have begun to play Sean Payton football. On Sunday, Bo Nix threw for 242 yards, a TD, and zero picks. So, Nix has already started taking care of the ball. JK Dobbins only rushed for 79 yards and a TD, but he averaged 4 yards per carry, and the D held the Eagles to 17 points.

The Jets couldn’t handle Dallas, a team that boasted the worst defense in the NFL heading into Week 5. The J-E-T-S yielded 37 points to Big D on their field. So Payton’s offense should be humming in this one. Denver covers.

2025 NFL 6 Pick: Broncos

New England Patriots vs. New Orleans Saints

• When: Sunday, October 12th. 1:00 p.m. ET

• NFL Week 6 Odds: Patriots -185 / Saints +150

The Saints got their first win of the season, but before declaring they can hang with New England, it’s important to note that New Orleans beat the Giants. Additionally, the G-Men were prone to miscues.

New England got a win over the Bills in Buffalo, which proves they can play with the big dogs. Ah, but it was Stefon Diggs’ return to Buffalo. So we can’t expect a repeat performance. Take the points.

2025 NFL 6 Pick: Saints

Dallas Cowboys vs. Carolina Panthers

• When: Sunday, October 12th 28th. 1:00 p.m. ET

• NFL Week 6 Odds: Cowboys -185 / Panthers +150

Dak Prescott can’t be stopped. After five weeks, Dallas’ quarterback has thrown for 1,356 yards and 10 touchdowns with three interceptions. If Dallas were a better team on defense, Dak would be in line for MVP. He might still be because the stats are ridiculous.

In any case, Carolina can keep this close on the scoreboard because Dallas’ defense is so bad. But at the end of the day, Bryce Young isn’t as good a quarterback as Dak. So Dallas covers.

2025 NFL 6 Pick: Cowboys

San Francisco 49ers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

• When: Sunday, October 12th. 4:25 p.m. ET

• NFL Week 6 Odds: 49ers +139 / Buccaneers -169

The Niners pulled off a fantastic victory over the LA Rams in their last. The line went from Rams -5.5 to -9 because Brock Purdy and a lot of other 49ers were on the bench with injuries. But Mac Jones was spectacular.

Don’t expect a repeat performance. The Bucs are a solid club. The only loss came against the Eagles, and Tampa heads into this off a sweet road win against the Seahawks. TB covers.

2025 NFL 6 Pick: Buccaneers

Detroit Lions vs. Kansas City Chiefs

• When: Sunday, October 12th. 8:20 p.m. ET

• NFL Week 6 Odds: Lions +126 / Chiefs -156

The Lions versus Chiefs matchup should be a great game. Kansas City hosts Detroit after a stunner on Monday Night Football, where the Jaguars rallied to beat KC and send Patrick Mahomes and his mates to a 2-3 record.

Kansas City looked like it had righted the sinking ship after beating Baltimore. Ah, but the Ravens are a disaster right now. So we can’t put too much stock into the victory. The Lions are rolling. The offense has been sensational, including dropping 34 on the Browns, which boasts one of the top defenses in the league, a couple of weeks ago. Detroit pulls off the upset win.

2025 NFL 6 Pick: Lions

Chicago Bears vs. Washington Commanders

• When: Monday, October 13th. 8:15 p.m. ET

• NFL Week 6 Odds: Chiefs -175 / Jaguars +145

The odds make sense since Jaylen Daniels is likely to play for D.C., but it’s tough to look past Chicago in this. After starting the season with a 2-game losing streak, the Da Bears have won 2 straight.

Caleb Williams is a different QB in Ben Johnson’s system. He’s thrown for 927 yards and has 8 TDs to just two picks. The points, especially with the hook, should be meaningful. Go Chicago ATS.
