Why Bet on the Philadelphia 76ers?

The Sixers get some breathing room in a much-needed win over the Pacers. They dominated every shooting aspect of the game and hit 47.5% of their shots from the field. The squad hit 44.2% of their looks from deep and 89.3% of attempts from the line. They led the game in blocks and steals, recording seven and eight, respectively. Joel Embiid and James Harden combined for 55 points, with the latter topping the squad with nine rebounds and 11 assists.

Despite amassing three losses early on, the Sixers do have decent numbers to show for it. They have a 46.2% shooting percentage, hitting 53.3% of their two-point and 35.6% of their three-point attempts. They are also the better free-throw shooting side here, making 83.5% of their attempts from the line. Defensively, Philadelphia holds opponents to 109.0 points per game on 46.7% shooting. The team does well protecting the paint and holds teams to 41.5 opponent points in the paint per game.

Why Bet on the Toronto Raptors?

Toronto continues to prove why it’s a formidable opponent. They recently took down last season’s Eastern Conference top seed, the Miami Heat, 98-98. The Raps outplayed their opponents and shot 39.5% from the field while maintaining a respectable 43.8% shooting from deep. Although they shot worse from the line, the squad led in rebounding and blocks throughout the contest, putting down 52 boards and six blocks.

The Raptors thrive on the defensive side of things. They limit opponents to 104.0 points per game on 45.1% shooting. They also have good interior defense and limit teams to 43.5 points in the paint, while keeping the opponent’s total rebounds per game to 50.5. The offense is where things get a bit wobbly for Nick Nurse and his men. They average 105.0 points per game on 43.1% shooting. Nevertheless, with a competent collection of shooters, the pen down a 40.3% three-point shooting percentage in four games.

76ers vs. Raptors Expert Betting Prediction

The dark horse Raptors can rebound from last year’s disappointments in the early weeks of the calendar. But with a questionable Scottie Barnes, they might have a tough time containing the Sixers’ core players. Chris Boucher lines up to start if Barnes doesn’t get the green light, while Otto Porter Jr. remains out of the lineup due to injury. The Sixers have the edge on paper with a relatively imposing starting lineup but don’t slur over the hosts just yet. Covering the spread should be doable for Toronto with their opponents just recovering from a three-game losing streak.
