Dallas Mavericks vs. Golden State Warriors
- When: Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024
With a 40-34 record, the Warriors are in danger of not only missing the NBA Playoffs, but also not qualifying for the play-in tournament. As one might expect, Luka Doncic and the Mavs, which have the fifth-best record in the Western Conference, would love to send Steph and the Warriors home to Oakland for the spring and summer.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Boston Celtics
- When: Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024
Oklahoma City has the best record in the West. The Thunder are in, which means this isn’t about the play-in tournament. Celtics versus Thunder is about a possible 2024 NBA Finals. Amazing to think that a season or so ago, the Thunder was the worst team in the Western Conference. The C’s will show up at the TD Garden looking to make a statement. But so will OKC.
Denver Nuggets vs. LA Clippers
- When: Thursday, April 4th, 2024
The Oklahoma City Thunder are great, but for sure star power, it doesn’t get better than Thursday’s game between the Denver Nuggets and the LA Clippers. Paul George, James Harden, and Kawhi Leonard pace a Clippers squad that has a real shot at winning rings. Nikola Jokic has led the Nuggets to a half a game behind the Thunder for the best record in the West. This is going to be good!
Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Phoenix Suns
- When: Friday, April 5th, 2024
Give the T’Wolves credit. Acquiring Rudy Gobert was an amazing deal because Karl Anthony-Towns is injured. The real force behind the T’Wolves ascension is one of the top players in the league, Anthony Edwards. The Suns are a borderline sixth or seventh seed. The play-in tourney starts with seed 7. So Devin Booker, who dropped 51 on to the Pels on April 1, and his mates see this as a must win.
Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers
- When: Sunday, April 7th, 2024
Heading into April 2, the Lakers are at 42-33 while the Warriors are at 40-34. Both teams are struggling to just make the play-in tournament. Minnesota may or my not be at full force knowing the chances of them leapfrogging Denver or Oklahoma City isn’t great. So wait and see the T’Wolves lineup before betting this. The Lakers, for sure, will be all out to win.
Boston Celtics vs. Milwaukee Bucks // Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers
- When: Tuesday, April 9th, 2024
We’ve got two games on Tuesday. The Warriors and Lakers is a must win for both squads. Play-in tournament bids are at stake. Celtics versus Bucks is a preview of a possible Eastern Conference Finals. Right now, the C’s are the team to beat in the East. But Milwaukee feels that they’re good enough to get it done.
Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Denver Nuggets
- When: Wednesday, April 10th, 2024
The defending champs, that’s the Denver Nuggets, haven’t given up on the top seed. Keeping pace with the upstart Oklahoma City Thunder means winning the matchup against current 3-seed Minnesota.
Phoenix Suns vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
- When: Sunday, April 14th, 2024
Minnesota is involved in so many huge games in the final two weeks. None of the games Anthony Edwards and his mates are playing should have an effect on their playoff seeding.
But for their opponents, like the Suns on April 14, the effect could me massive. Phoenix is fighting for a straight up playoff spot. The Suns don’t want to have to battle it out in the play-in tournament. So a win on the road versus the T’Wolves on the final day could be the one that sends Phoenix to the NBA Playoffs.
Utah Jazz vs. Golden State Warriors
- When: Sunday, April 14th, 2024
The Warriors must try and secure every game from now until the end of the regular season. As the 10-seed, Golden State can’t take a night off. No rest for Steph. Draymond has to keep his head straight. Steve Kerr has to make all the right moves.Versus Utah on April 14 could hark the final nail in the Warriors’ dynasty coffin if the Jazz pull off the win. If Golden State wins, and secures a play-in tournament berth, who knows? Maybe the dynasty has life.
