Boston Celtics 2022 Eastern Conference Finals Betting Keys
After the Celtics sent home the defending champions in a thrilling seven-game series, they now move on to the Eastern Conference Finals to square off with the Heat for the second time in three years. The Bucks operated with a missing key player following Khris Middleton’s injury in the first round.
Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum and company secured the 109-81 victory over the Bucks in front of their home crowd. The team pulled off an incredible comeback after falling 3-2 in the series, thanks to a resilient squad.

Depth edge
One of the biggest advantages of the Celtics in the playoffs is their depth. Grant Williams started their last game against the Bucks and ended up scoring 27 points against the No. 3 Eastern Conference team. Boston has the second-ranked bench in the playoffs, and if Robert Williams returns in time for Game 1, the lineup gets even better. The Heat’s bench lineup ranks tenth this year.
Tyler Herro bagged the Kia Sixth Man of the Year award but the Heat recorded better numbers with him off the floor versus him on the floor. Bench minutes could be critical in this series, and the Celtics seemingly have more names that can deliver on both ends of the floor.
Three-point barrage
The Celtics drained 53 more three-pointers than the BUcks in their seven-game conference semifinals matchup. That was arguably the defining factor of the series. In fact, it is the biggest differential in a playoff series in NBA history. The Celtics recorded 110 shots from beyond the arc and were tied for third-most in any playoff contest.
The Heat allowed their opponents to take 45.6& of their shots from deep, which leads us to believe that Boston has an opportunity to capitalize on the said flaw. Ultimately, we anticipate the Celtics to continue the trend as they picked up plenty of three-point momentum coming off the Bucks series.
The X-factor
Derrick White is yet to provide his side with big scoring games. However, he’s been instrumental in other areas of the game. White is an effective defender. He cuts well and helps elevate Boston’s ball movement. In the games where the Celtics overpowered the Bucks, he’s produced sufficient plays.
It’s now a question of whether White can provide enough offensive help in this series. He is known for smooth jumpers but has been shaky since moving to the Celtics. If he finds a way to get over this slump, we expect White to play a bigger role in the Eastern Conference Finals.
