<>In a no-brainer decision, the Los Angeles Rams rightfully extended Cooper Kupp all the way into the 2025 season after having one of the best regular-season performances by any NFL wide receiver in league history. Kupp who completed the rare receiving triple crown as the regular-season leader with 145 receptions, 1,947 receiving yards, and 16 touchdowns. His glowing campaign was capped off with a game-winning TD catch in Super Bowl LI as well against the Cincinnati Bengals.The Rams, who are currently (+1,000) favorites to win Super Bowl 57, just locked in their most prominent offensive player outside of starting quarterback Matthew Stafford in hopes of winning back-to-back Lombardi Trophies. Only the Buffalo Bills (+650) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+700) have better odds to win Super Bowl LII to date.
Kupp is now the third-highest-paid player on Los Angeles’ roster this year only behind a pair of defensive standouts in Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey.

It’s been a pretty lucrative offseason for NFL wide receivers in general. While Kupp’s three-year contract did not set new records, his deal still joins the likes of Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs, and A.J. Brown. Only Kupp and Diggs received contract extensions from their current teams, whereas the three other wideouts got paid by their new teams this offseason.
Adams’ five-year, $141 million deal still stands out as the most lucrative contract as a whole, while Hill’s $30 million average annual salary is tops amongst this group of receivers. Kupp, on the other hand, has the most guaranteed money out of the five with $75 million guaranteed, so there’s certainly no reason to believe that the former third-round selection got shafted by his deal in comparison to his peers’ respective extensions.
All things considered, it’s truly high times for an NFL wide receiver these days seeing how much money is being committed to the best wideouts across the league. For as long as the NFL remains a pass-happy league, expect record contracts that could shatter Kupp’s own deal to be dished out in the near future.
