Dota 2’s most awaited tournament of the year is on the horizon, but not before we determine the remaining participants for The International 2022. Favorites

Soniqs

  • The International 2022 Qualifying Odds: -250

After signing Quincy Crew to bolster its roster, Soniqs enters the North America Qualifier as the odds-on favorite to win the entire qualifying tournament to date. Although their 17th-place finish at the recently-concluded Arlington Major is far from a terrific debut for the new-look Soniqs squad, Quincy Crew’s experience (QC earned a top-10 finish at The International 10) puts them above the rest of the pack as we speak.

Nouns

  • The International 2022 Qualifying Odds: +110

A win at the BTS Pro Series: Americas in May followed by a third-place finish at the DPC North America have Nouns as a strong candidate to win the North America Qualifier over star-studded Soniqs. Nouns even picked up a runner-up finish at the Thunderpick Bitcoin Series at the tail-end of August to give them great momentum heading into the NA Qualifier.

Dark Horses

BU.US

  • The International 2022 Qualifying Odds: +2000

As the Division II team with the best odds to surprise the rest of the North America qualifier field, KBU.US packs decent sleeper value for those rooting for real underdogs. KBU has been active all year long and, in turn, pulled off a pair of second-place finishes and another third-place showing in 12 tournaments played. Time will tell if KBU can hang with the elite rosters scattered throughout the NA scene when the NA Qualifier commences.

5RATFORCESTAFF

  • The International 2022 Qualifying Odds: +3000

A couple of changes alter 5RATFORCESTAFF’s trajectory at the North America Qualifier. The team enlisted Kitzz (highest average in kills per game during Tour 2 of the DPC this year as a Division II squad) to handle the role of solo mid and Panders as its new coach. Wins at the aforementioned DPC NA Tour 2 and another strong performance at ESL One Malaysia further bolsters the odds of 5RATFORCESTAFF as the last team standing at the NA Qualifier.

Huge Reach

Arkosh Gaming

  • The International 2022 Qualifying Odds: +20000

With just a fourth and seventh-place finish to show for all year long, Arkosh Gaming is considered more of a longshot to win the North America Qualifier than anything else. The team is still relatively new in the scene and has a bright future ahead if manager/coach SirActionSlacks gets the right pieces in place. But for now, newly-recruited RUDY THE GHOST hasn’t lived up to his potential as Forsaken Oracle’s replacement at solo mid.
