How to Watch Dota 2 The International 2022
Esports fans wait in anticipation of the biggest Dota 2 event of the year and the grandest The International installment ever. The biggest annual tournament kicks off between October 8 October 30. Like every year, it offers a plethora of prizes and the best Dota 2 players today.
The International is the quintessential Dota 2 esports and is celebrated for its record-breaking prize pool. More than that, the event hosts the world’s finest teams competing over a season for a shot at the prestigious Aegis of Champions.

Prize pool
You can watch The International 11 live on Dota 2 TI Twitch channel. Various streams through the Dota 2 YouTube channel grants you access to live games. Fans who have the Dota 2 game on their computers can stream the matches live on the in-game client’s “WATCH” tab as well.
At the time of writing, the prize pool hit $11.9-million. The competition features a base prize pool of $1.6-million USD. Valve puts another 25% on top of the revenue generated through sales of the Dota 2 Battle Pass to the prize pool. With a few more days remaining before the big event, we expect the total prize pool to hit north of $12 million.
Participating teams
Like past The International tournaments, the event hosts the top teams that scored the most points in the Dota Pro Circuit. This year’s competition plays host to 30 of the best teams, including ten runner-up teams from the regional qualifiers fighting for a chance to be part of the 20-team list in the Group Stages.
Once the Group Stage and 12 teams qualifying from DPC are locked in, six teams get a spot through Regional Qualifiers, and two teams qualify via the Last Chance Qualifier. This totals to 20 teams fighting for the Aegis of Champions.

Tournament format
The International 11 takes place between October 8 and October 30 across four straight weekends. The Last Chance Qualifiers happen simultaneously from October 8 to October 12, followed by the Group Stage from October 15 to 18.
All qualifying teams head to the Playoffs at Suntec Singapore between October 20 and October 23. The remaining teams advance to the Finals hosted by Singapore Indoor Stadium on October 29 and October 30, where they compete for the grand title.
Valve divides twenty teams into two groups, following a round-robin configuration. All games are played as a Best-Of-Two, with the top four teams of each group moving into the Upper Bracket of the Main Event. These teams also get a chance to pick their first opponent for the next round.
The bottom two teams from each group are eliminated from the event, while the remaining teams get another shot at the title through the Lower Bracket.
The Main Event then goes down to 16 teams in a double-elimination order. These teams are divided into eight teams from the Upper and eight from the Lower Bracket. All matches now follow a Best-Of-Three format, excluding two series of games. The opening match in the Lower Bracket observes a do-or-die format, and the Grand Finals will feature a five-match series.
