Nitrobetting is here to upload chunks of data on the latest news and developments from the realm of Esports. Dota 2 The International 2022: Last Chance Qualifier Odds and Preview

Favorites

Xtreme Gaming

  • Odds to Qualify for The International 2022: +150
Coming out of powerhouse region China is Extreme Gaming, which was denied the top spot over in the country’s regional action no thanks to standouts PSG.LGD (China’s best team this season) and Royal Never Give Up (winner of the China Qualifier). Nevertheless, Xtreme Gaming has been on a roll, finishing no worse than third place in each of its five tournaments played in 2022, including a win at the OGA Dota Pit Season 6: China event back in February.

Virtus.Pro

  • Odds to Qualify for The International 2022: +150
Always a strong contender for the Aegis is Russia’s Virtus.Pro, which has made it to the main stage of The International in seven of the last eight installments of the event albeit without a podium finish at TI to show for it. Thanks to the arrival of young superstar RAMZES666, who’s currently the team’s carry after joining the squad in late May, VP took home the trophy at the Dota 2 Champions League this past July. And similar to Xtreme Gaming, Virtus.Pro has not finished worse than third place in any of the six events the team participated in this year.

Dark Horses

nouns

  • Odds to Qualify for The International 2022: +1400
Having officially formed just this past May, North America’s nouns doesn’t possess the TI experience that the other two favorites we’ve covered so far already have. Then again, first-time head coach Mangusu got his team off to a strong start that same month they debuted, winning the BTS Pro Series: Americas in May. To further boost its sleeper status at the LCQ, nouns also picked up a couple more runner-up finishes at the Thunderpick Bitcoin Series and the NA Qualifier tourney.

Polaris Esports

  • Odds to Qualify for The International 2022: +1400

There’s also a new rising faction over in the Southeast Asia region, as the Polaris Esports is still in the hunt for its very first appearance at The International after having assembled its core in 2021. The all-Filipino team led by captain Xavius is having quite a sophomore year, with three wins in Tier 3 tournaments as well as a runner-up finish at this past August’s GAMERS GALAXY Invitational Series in Thailand. This could be the year that the Philippines makes its deepest run at TI, and Polaris is a tantalizing sleeper pick to represent the country indeed.

Huge Reach

Tempest

  • Odds to Qualify for The International 2022: +5000

With only 167 DPC points for the season and having been beat out by the SA Qualifier’s winner Hokori and second-place finisher Infamous, South America’s Tempest is seen as one of the pushovers at the upcoming LCQ. Tempest only played in two other tournaments this year outside of the SA Qualifier, with a third-place showing at the ESL One Malaysia South America Closed Qualifier being their best performance to date. As such, consider this Peruvian bunch to be no more than a longshot candidate to advance to The International 11’s group stage.
