Golden State Warriors Betting Keys vs. Grizzlies in Game 5
For the better part of Game 5 between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies, it appeared as though the Warriors were about to squander their golden opportunity (no pun intended) at taking a commanding 3-1 series lead. A late fourth-quarter rally eventually got the Dubs to the win, but now comes an even more daunting task ahead: winning Game 5 on the road to finally eliminate the pesky Grizzlies.
Nitrobetting is ready to dish out some timely assists to our bettors all throughout the 2022 NBA Playoffs. This time, let’s take a highlight the three biggest keys to victory for the Golden State Warriors in their upcoming Game 5 clash against the Memphis Grizzlies, as well as the Warriors’ odds to win and advance to the Western Conference Finals.

Stay Hot in the Clutch
The Warriors trailed by as much as 12 points in the fourth quarter of Game 5 Monday before mounting a huge comeback with Stephen Curry finally coming to life. Curry finished with a team-highs of 32 points and eight assists, including making all eight of his free-throw attempts in the final minute of the fourth quarter.
However, that win was a little too close for comfort for Golden State, which faced a Memphis team without its best player in Ja Morant, who was injured in Game 4 and could be held out of action for the remainder of the series. The Warriors are slight (-3.5) favorites to win Game 5 despite Morant’s absence on the opposite end of the floor, which means they’ll need to be ready to close out their tight battles once again. Do note that Games 1, 2, and 4 were each decided by one, five, and three points, respectively.
Keep Wiggin’ Out
Curry may have caught fire late in Game 4, but he made just 10 of his 25 field-goals attempts all game. Fellow Splash Brother, Klay Thompson, didn’t fare that well from the field either, going 6-for-20 and missing all seven of his shots from beyond the arc.
That being said, Golden State would be wise to keep Andrew Wiggins heavily involved in the offense. Wiggins finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds for his first-career playoff double-double, and was the only Warrior to shoot over 50 percent from the field amongst his teammates with more than 10 shot attempts on Monday.
Jump Back into the Poole Party
After averaging 26 points over the last three games prior to Game 4, spark plug Jordan Poole came off the bench on Monday and was relatively ice-cold, going just 4-of-12 from the field (0-for-3 from the three-point line) for 14 points. Poole has been one of the bigger surprises and feel-good stories in the 2022 NBA Playoffs, but his inconsistency has factored into the Memphis’ tenacity in the series.
Golden State head coach Steve Kerr is expected to miss Game 5 due to his ongoing battle with COVID-19, which means it’s up to assistant Mike Brown to give Poole more opportunities to produce. Brown, who was recently announced as the new head coach of the Sacramento Kings in the next NBA season, is now 12-0 in relief of Kerr’s head-coaching duties since the Dubs’ title-winning run in 2017.
