Why Bet on the Sacramento Kings?

The tides have turned and the Kings are now at the brink of exiting the first round. Game 6 spells trouble for a team down 3-2 and about to play a game in uncharted waters. Nevertheless, they did put up a fight against the Dubs in their most recent meeting. Sacramento shot a respectable 46.7% from the field. They were also more efficient from the line at 84.6%, draining 22 of 26 free throws. De’Aaron Fox put up 24 points on nine of 25 from the field and hit all three free-throws. He also produced nine assists in 42 minutes on the floor.

Domantas Sabonis was the second-best scorer of his team with 21 points. He also topped the Kings’ rebounding with ten boards. We witnessed how efficient Sacramento was in Game 5. Despite their losing efforts, six players recorded double-digit scoring figures, including three players who scored 21 points or more.

Sacramento starts to show its defensive lapses in this series. Their lack of playoff experience unfolds as the team wears out. For a team that pens defensive rating figures outside the top ten, the next matchup is crucial for head coach Mike Brown and his unit.

Why Bet on the Golden State Warriors?

Stephen Curry, once again, put on a show following another 30-plus point game. He finished the game with 31 points on 12 of 25 from the field and five of six from the line. As the Dubs’ choice playmaker, he also found opportunities for his teammates and produced eight assists. Meanwhile, Kevon Looney cleaned the glass and finished a monster 22-rebound game. He also had seven assists and four points to ensure the Warriors lead the series.

The previous Kings vs. Warriors game was relatively even. The Dubs slightly better from the field at 52.1%. Both sides hit below 30% from deep, while the visitors lacked composure from the line and were below 65%. Furthermore, Golden State logged four less turnovers and converted the Kings’ 19 turnovers to 14 points.

The Warriors lacked defense this season after losing two key players Gary Payton II and Otto Porter Jr. However, things started to improve with Andrew Wiggins becoming more of a defensive asset for Steve Kerr and GP2 returning from his short stint with the Blazers. As a unit, the Warriors average 118.9 points per game on 47.8% shooting. Defensively, the Dubs now hold teams to 117.0 points per game on a tenth-best 46.7% opponent shooting.
