Duke Blue Devils vs. Virginia Cavaliers

Since a 68-69 last second three-point shot loss to Virginia, the Dookie have rolled to 4 straight victories. Duke only covered in 2-of-4, though. That’s not a good sign if you want to back the Blue Devils. UVA has won 5-of-6. The Cavaliers have a real shot of sweeping the 2-game series. Virginia wins and covers.

Arizona Wildcats vs. Utah Utes

In the last head-to-head, 24-2 Arizona smacked Utah 82-64. The game happened on Jan. 15. Although Utah lost, and they lost by 18, the Wildcats were 19 point favorites. So Utah covered the spread. We shouldn’t expect the Utes to cover on Feb. 24. The change in venue, this happens in Utah, means Zona backers must lay less than they would if this happened at the McKale Center. The Utes are in some trouble in this one. Cats score a cover victory.

Purdue Boilermakers vs. Michigan State Spartans

Purdue, no doubt, is one of the top teams in the Big Ten. But this is a road game versus a rival that’s also one of the better teams in the conference. However, MSU is on a slide. The Spartans have gone 1-4 SU in their last 5. Michigan State is 1-5 ATS in their last 6. Sparty ends up with another loss straight up and against the spread.

Auburn Tigers vs. Tennessee Volunteers

Not only has Auburn gone 2-2 SU in their last 4, but they’ve also gone 1-4 ATS in their last 5. The Tigers should handle Ole Miss earlier in the week before this Saturday match. So Auburn will enter this game with some momentum. Tennessee is a tough team to beat on the road. But these are the type of games Bruce Pearl’s squad must win if they hope to make it back to the Final Four. Give Auburn a nod to win SU and cover ATS.

Kansas Jayhawks at Baylor Bears

Two of the best in both the Big 12 and in the nation battle it out in Waco when Baylor hosts Kansas. The Bears have had a tough February, losing to Texas Tech 83-73 on Feb. 16 and falling to Kansas 83-59 on Feb. 5. But Baylor remains one of the better teams in the country. Kansas is on a 3-match winning streak heading into the week. This really is a toss-up. But since the Bears are at home, and the line shouldn’t make Baylor an underlay, Bears to win and cover is the play.

SMU Mustangs at Houston Cougars

• When: Sunday, February 27th, 2022. 1:00pm ET
• Where: Fertitta Center, Houston, TX

On Feb. 9, SMU upset Houston 85-83. Since then, the Mustangs have shown they deserve a bid to the NCAA Tournament. But on Sunday, it won’t look like SMU is a March Madness team. Houston should roll in a revenge game. Expect Kelvin Sampson’s squad to hold Southern Methodist to less than 60 points on their way to a close to 20-point victory.
