Top NCAAB Betting Picks of the Week (February 7th, 2022)
On Tuesday, Michigan State hosts Wisconsin to tip off another great week of NCAA hoops action. Terrific games happen almost every day during the week, including a game between the most historic rivals, UCLA and USC, in the Pac-12 conference. UCLA against USC takes place on Saturday, the same day top five ranked Kentucky hosts Florida and the Baylor Bears welcome the Texas Longhorns. Wisconsin Badgers vs. Michigan State Spartans

Behind the play of the terrific Jonathan Davis, Wisconsin has continued to reign in the Big Ten. Michigan State, though, is just a game back. In the last head-to-head on Jan. 21, Michigan State blasted Wisconsin 86-74. The game happened on Wisconsin’s home court. Because this is in East Lansing, it’s difficult to see the Badgers turning the tables.

Houston Cougars vs. SMU Mustangs

Kelvin Sampson has Houston playing like a Final Four team. The Cougars rank fourth in points allowed per game at 56.6. Opponents shoot 36% from the field versus Houston, which ranks first in college hoops. But on Wednesday, Houston travels to Southern Methodist to take on the Mustangs, the second best team in the AAC conference. The Mustangs have won 8-of-10. But although SMU will play hard for a half, Houston’s more talented. The Cougars win and cover.

Purdue Boilermakers vs. Michigan Wolverines

20-3 Purdue is back to it’s winning ways. The Boilermakers have gone 5-0 SU in their last 5. Although Purdue is just 3-2 ATS in those 5 games, on Thursday they play against a team they beat in the last head-to-head. Purdue beat Michigan 82-76 on Feb. 5 this year. The Boilermakers didn’t cover. Michigan hasn’t had a great season. There are signs, though, that Juwan Howard’s squad is turning it around. The Wolverines win on the moneyline and cover the spread.

Texas Longhorns vs. Baylor Bears

Heading into the week, the Bears are 0-3 ATS in their last 3 games. Kansas blasted the Bears in their last, dominating Baylor 83-59 on Feb. 5. Texas has won 4-of-5 straight up. This contest sets up for a Longhorns’ upset moneyline victory. Texas sends the best defense in the nation to the court. Opponents average just 54.9 against the Longhorns. Baylor lives off their defense and will become if Texas’ starts getting stops. The Horns moneyline is worth a look.

Florida Gators vs. Kentucky Wildcats

The Gators are a decent basketball team, but Kentucky is dominant. The Wildcats average 81.2 points per while allowing 64 each contest. So even though Big Blue is just 11-12 ATS heading into the week, Oscar Tshiebwe and Sahvir Wheeler should ensure a win and cover in this. Kentucky rolls to a win and cover because Florida’s shooters won’t keep up.

UCLA Bruins vs. USC Trojans

- Where: Galen Center, Los Angeles, CA

The Bruins had a tough weekend. On Feb. 3, Arizona blasted UCLA 76-66. Then in their next game on Feb. 5, Arizona State beat the Bruins 87-84 in overtime. USC fell 72-63 to Arizona on Feb. 5. Before the loss, the Trojans had won 2 straight. These two haven’t played since last March. Since this happens on USC’s court, the Trojans have a slight edge. But UCLA is the overall better team. The Bruins should prevail SU and ATS./p>
