Why Bet on the New England Patriots?
The Patriots are on a roll after a commanding 35-0 victory against the Eagles last weekend. It’s a great start for Belichick and company following a rather disappointing finish last season with a 7-9 record. This time around, the team looks to change their ways and start the regular season on full throttle.
Last week’s matchup saw Mac Jones taking control of the game, throwing for 146 yards on 13 of 9 passing, while Cam Newton had respectable numbers with 103 yards on 8 of 9 passing and a touchdown. Taking point on running duties is J.J. Taylor with 93 rushing yards and a score. Meanwhile, Rhamondre Stevenson had a team-high 66 yards on 15 carries with two touchdowns.
On defense, Ja’Whaun Bentley topped the list with a team-high of six tackles. Right behind him were Chase Winovich and Harvey Langi with five tackles apiece with the former adding two sacks to his name and the latter with a solo sack. Furthermore, Cash Maluia added more solid elements to the unit with a sack while Adrian Colbert and Langi registered an interception. Ultimately, the Patriots’ defense stood tall in front of the Eagles and are expected to do the same against the Giants this Sunday.
Why Bet on the New York Giants?
On the other end of the spectrum is a Giants team in distress. The team will attempt to recover from a 17-13 loss to Cleveland. In their losing efforts, Brian Lewerke was able to throw for 108 yards on 11-of-19 passing and a touchdown. Recent quarterback acquisition Mike Glennon also had time to get things in order and finished his stint with 86 yards on 10-of-13 passing.
Corey Clement had an impressive game as well, leading the team’s rushing attack with 9 carries for 30 yards alongside Devontae Booker who had 27 rushing yards and a touchdown. On the receiving end, Rysen John was the point man with 58 yards on 3 receptions while David Sills V recorded 31 yards on 3 receptions with a touchdown.
Going over the Giants’ defense, Rodarius Williams and Devante Downs were the two pillars of the side, each documenting a team-high 7 total tackles. Carter Coughlin and Oshane Ximines had a sack each, while Ryan Anderson and Raymond Johnson III linked up for a third sack. We can still see several vulnerable spots in New York’s defense, but if they find consistency against the Patriots, they can present more challenges in front of their opponents.

Patriots vs. Giants Expert Betting Predictions
The Patriots look like a different team this time around thanks to coach Belichicks’s magic. From the get-go, we’ve seen the team impose dominance and we don’t expect it to end anytime soon, which gives them the upper hand in the upcoming game. However, having home-field advantage might just work to the Giants’ advantage as they try to put more pressure on the visitors. They should have an easier time covering the spread, and we might even see New York lead at one point. Nevertheless, this makes for another exciting and action-filled contest.
