Bernhard Raimann – Central Michigan (OT)
Having allowed only 10 QB pressures in his final season, Bernhard Raimann stands out as a top-three prospect amongst all available tackles at the draft. The Austrian transfer student had even played some time at tight end in his rookie season in Central Michigan, serving as a total package for Pittsburgh’s offensive line overhaul.
Tyler Linderbaum – Iowa (C)
The retirement of Maurkice Pouncey in 2020 is still felt to this day, and the Steelers should also have their sights set on Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum. The hulking Hawkeye has been widely considered as the best center prospect in back-to-back years and is a serviceable backup for recently-signed Mason Cole for the time being. Linderbaum’s chances of joining Steeler Nation will definitely go up if Raimann is somehow off the board already.
Sam Howell – North Carolina (QB)
Even though the Steelers just signed former second-overall pick Mitchell Trubisky as Big Ben’s heir apparent, they could still take a shot at their quarterback of the future by picking up UNC’s Sam Howell, especially with the sudden and sad passing of backup QB, Dwayne Haskins. Howell is a phenomenal dual-threat gun-slinger, throwing for 3,200 yards and running for nearly 1,400 rushing yards whilst also racking up a whopping 53 offensive TDs in his final season in Chapel Hill.
Updated Pittsburgh Steelers 2022 NFL Futures Odds
As of this writing, the Steelers are priced at (+4,000) to win Super Bowl 57. They currently share the same odds as a pair of fellow playoff contenders last season in the Las Vegas Raiders and the Philadelphia Eagles, with all three franchises having suffered quick first-round exits.
