Why is Spain a safe bet to win?
Spain is down a couple of key defenders, but the Spanish are deep enough to get past Le Normand’s and Carvajal’s absences. Not only that, but Spain’s youth, Williams and Yamal especially, have been untenable for most of their opponents.
Versus Germany, Spain held Jamal Musiala at bay and didn’t yield a goal until the 89th minute. So the strategy to contain Mbappe is there. Almost as important is the fact that Spain had to beat the host nation, the Germans, to make it to the semis. Beating a quality club like Germany in front of their rivals’ fans should boost Spain’s confidence versus France.

Why is France a safe bet to win?
Although France has played the exceptional soccer that many expected, they find themselves with a chance to head to the finals. France isn’t as flashy as Spain.
But Mbappe and his mates get it done. In the 5-3 penalty shootout win over Portugal, the French played fantastic defense, yielding possession 60% of the time, but holding the Portuguese to just 4 shots on goal from 15 shot attempts.
France will play similar defense against the Spanish, frustrating Spain wingers Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams. If the strategy works, France should score at least 1 goal on the counter-attack.

Spain vs. France Betting Prediction
This is going to be a difficult match for either team to win. Spain is young enough and deep enough to handle losing the two defenders, especially Carvajal, but France employs a specific strategy to elongates the match.
El Rojo won’t give in to France’s bait and counter tactics, which means Yamal and Williams will only take chances when they present themselves. Not only that, but the exceptional Pedri will ensure Spain wins the midfield battle.
Still, France knows it’s limitations. The French haven’t made it to every single semifinal in every major international competition since what feels like 1990 based on always having the best players. The French will force a draw and possibly penalty kicks, which means the team that wins is going to have to earn it.
