Top Tennis Betting Picks of the Week (August 8th, 2022)

ATP – Toronto, Canada

Benoit Paire vs. Yoshito Nishioka

Andre Heusler. On Tuesday, though, Paire takes on an excellent player. In his last, Nishioka made it all the way to the Citi Open Finals. Nick Kyrgios beat Nishioka in straight sets. But the chalk in this bested Andrey Rublev in the semifinals. So Nishioka’s game has come around. The favorite wins.

Tennis Betting Pick: Yoshito Nishioka -196

David Goffin vs. Albert Ramos-Vinolas

Favored David Goffin has won a singles title this year. He’s also gone 22-16 in his singles matches. But Goffin didn’t play well at the Citi Open, falling in the first match to Jack Sock. Albert Ramos-Vinolas made it all the way to the semifinals at the Generali Open in his last.

Ramos-Vinolas lost to Roberto Bautista Agut 3-6, 6-7, (3-7). This might be a good time to go against the favorite. Goffin isn’t playing well, and the underdog comes in after a decent performance

Tennis Betting Pick: Albert Ramos-Vinolas +201

Marin Cilic vs. Borna Coric

Underdog Borna Coric had an okay Hamburg European Open. Coric beat Laslo Djere and Tallon Griekspoor. He lost in the quarterfinals to Alex Molcan. In his last, Cilic made it all the way to the Cinch Championship semifinals. There, Filip Krajinovic knocked Cilic from the tournament in a 3-6, 3-6 performance. But Marin has played well this year. So he should handle Coric.

Tennis Betting Pick: Marin Cilic -182

Cameron Norrie vs. Brandon Nakashima

21-year-old Brandon Nakashima is 17-15 in singles titles this season. Nakashima made it to the quarter-finals at the Abierto de Tenis Mifel in his last, losing to Miomir Kecmanovic in straight sets.

Nakashima’s assignment in the first round is tough. Cameron Norrie is 32-16 in singles matches this season. He also played in the Abierto de Tenis Mifel in his last. World number one Daniil Medvedev beat Norrie in the Mifel finals. Cameron shouldn’t allow Nakashima a chance. Expect a straight sets win.

Tennis Betting Pick: Cameron Norrie -196

Daria Snigur vs. Victoria Tomova

Snigur didn’t qualify for Wimbledon but she’s still having a good WTA season. Snigur is 21-14 in singles matches this season. Victoria Tomova is 26-21 in singles matches this season. She lost in the first round at the Hamburg Open, but should win this. Tomova gets the call.

Tennis Betting Pick: Victoria Tomova -200

Pablo Carreno Busta vs. Matteo Berrettini

In his last tournament played, underdog Carreno Busta beat Luca Nardi in the first round at the Hamburg Open. But then in the second round, Busta fell to Alex Molcan after four sets. Matteo Berrettini has won a couple of singles titles and is 22-7 in singles matches this season. The chalk in this lost the Swiss Open in his last after Casper Ruud beat him in the finals. Berrettini should roll into the second round.

Tennis Betting Pick: Matteo Berrettini -270

Filip Krajinovic vs. Daniel Evans

Evans won his first couple of matches at the Citi Open before running into Yoshito Nishioka. Evans deserves his favorite status. Krajinovic had a terrible Hamburg Open. But the slight dog in this won his first match before losing to top-seeded Carlos Alcaraz in the second-round. Krajinovic can bounce back with a slight upset victory.

Tennis Betting Pick: Filip Krajinovic +108
