Cameron Smith shot a 66 on the final round to get by Anirban Lahiri -13 to -12. Paul Casey shot a -11 to secure a lone third place finish.
Kevin Kisner shot a -10 to finish in fourth. Keegan Bradley shot a -9 to finish all alone in fifth. Three players, Doug Ghim, Russell Knox, and Harold Varner III, finished a tied sixth at -8.

Rory McIlroy didn’t play all that badly at the 2022 The Players Championship. Rory finished at -3, which put him ten strokes off the winner. However, it was tough to stay close to Smith after Cameron knocked in that 66 final round.
Rory is playing great golf heading into this. He didn’t win the Arnold Palmer Invitational in the last but he played well enough to finish second.
No doubt, McIlroy will be looking to carry momentum to Ponte Vedra. Give Rory a big shot to lift the trophy.

Jon Rahm’s +2 in this event last year doesn’t inspire. The +2 comes with a caveat, though.
Jon found himself down in the final round. So Rahm took a ton of chances on Sunday. It didn’t work out since Jon shot a 77.
We can throw out the thirty-ninth place finish at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. After a fantastic 65 first round, Rahm shot back-to-back 76s. There was no recovering from the Friday and Saturday finishes.
If Rahm is consistent heading to the weekend, he’ll be in the top pairing on Sunday. Give the favorite a long look to take this.

Like Rahm, Scottie Scheffler shot a +2 at last year’s The Players Championship. Scheffler did shoot a 68 on Saturday, which means he knows how to play this course.
But Scottie heads into this playing well. If not for a 73 final round at the Arnold Palmer, he may have won. Scheffler did win the WM Phoenix Open. Give the reigning player of the year a big chance.

Viktor Hovland’s -7 at the 2022 The Players Championship put him in a tied ninth along with Adam Hadwin, Dustin Johnson, and Sepp Straka.
Viktor’s swing wasn’t great at the Phoenix Open. He improved at the Genesis Invitational. Then last week, Hovland improved again, finishing a tied tenth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. The odds make Hovland more than playable to win the hardware this Sunday.
