Switzerland vs. Italy

• When: Saturday, June 29th

During the group stage, the Germans handed Switzerland a gift. Germany rested their starters versus the Swiss, which is what allowed Switzerland to force a 1-1 draw and secure a spot in the Round of 16.

Things get tougher on Saturday versus the Azzurri, a team that steps it up at the Euros. The Italians are the defending champions and, at least on paper, tower over the Swiss. So we should expect Italy to put forth a fantastic effort.

It’s tough to have faith in England. The English haven’t shown they can win the Euro Cup. But let’s be honest.

It’s going to be impossible for Slovakia to beat a team as deep as the English. Sure, the Slovakians can pull off the upset. More than likely, Harry Kane, or Jude Bellingham, or someone else gets a goal that leads to a 1-0, boring but effective English victory.

Spain vs. Georgia

Georgia has played great soccer to get to this point but the massive underdog’s dream of a Euro Cup will end on Saturday.

El Rojo has been the most impressive team so far at Euro 2024. The Spanish, behind the play of 16 year old Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams has been outstanding. Spain is a wrecking crew that will send Georgia packing 3-0.

France vs. Belgium

Don’t worry about Portugal’s 2-0 loss to Georgia in their last. The Portuguese had sewn up the top spot in their group.

So Portugal rested all of their top players. Heading into the matchup against Slovenia, the Portuguese are ready to show they’re on Spain’s and France’s level. Doing so means beating the Slovenians by at least 2 goals.

Romania vs. Netherlands

The Dutch didn’t look good against Austria. However, it’s important to note that the Austrians boast plenty of UEFA league talent in both the Premier and the Bundesliga.

Austria is no joke of a team. The Netherlands scored 2 goals and the loss didn’t hurt them in any way. The loss could help the Dutch in the long run. Expect a fired up Orange side to cover the spread.
