The biggest storyline coming into the game is the Warriors’ injury report with Stephen Curry on the list. The star point guard picked up a foot injury late in the fourth quarter when Celtics big man Al Horford landed on top of Curry’s lower leg while fighting for a loose ball. He stayed in the game for a few more minutes until Steve Kerr decided to pull him out of the game following a sizable Celtics lead. While the initial injury worried the Dubs, Curry said in Thursday’s media interview that he’s suiting up for Game 4. Reports also say that he narrowly missed a major injury and won’t need an MRI after the incident.

Three players remain under observation and are day-to-day. Gary Payton II is on limited minutes after picking up a fractured elbow in the second round. He played 11 minutes and scored two points with an assist and a rebound in Game 3. Otto Porter Jr. put up with foot issues in recent weeks, but showed up recently and registered 21 minutes with six points, four assists, and a rebound. Three-time champion Andre Iguodala did not play in Game 2 of the Finals because of right knee inflammation, but he played two minutes on the floor in Game 3.

James Wiseman was seen shooting with the Warriors during Game 3 warm-ups but won’t return anytime soon because of a crucial knee injury that ruled him out of the season. Nevertheless, it’s good to see the 21-year-old putting in the work for next season.

Meanwhile, the Celtics are lucky to have most of their core players intact ahead of Game 4. The team saw its fair share of injuries in the postseason, including Marcus Smart who was out for several games due to a foot injury. Robert Williams III is the only starter and only player listed day-to-day here. Williams played in both road games of the Finals after finding himself on the injury report with a knee injury. He was already questionable for Wednesday’s Game 3 before being ruled active, meaning every player is active for Game 4.

The tables have turned for Game 4. Boston enters the game as a -4.0 favorite following the Game 3 victory. The Warriors may have more playoff and Finals experience under their belts, but their offensive depth has been tested by the Celtics multiple times this season. They put up a good fight that makes basketball and betting fans more excited.

Golden State is no stranger to comebacks, especially during the third quarter. Conversely, Stephen Curry nursing a foot injury, and several key players on the injury report make the series more challenging for him and the team. They opened the series as favorites and are now +4.0 underdogs leading up to the clash.
