Why Bet on the Golden State Warriors?

Any concerns about the Golden State Warriors having a title-winning hangover in their first game back to the playoffs were debunked. Unfortunately, they failed to seal the deal with a narrow 126-123 loss to the Sacramento Kings in Game 1 Saturday. It was only Golden State’s second road loss over the last six after the team struggled to win away from their Bay Area base.

Four Warriors players scored 17 points or more in the series opener, with none other than Steph Curry leading the way with 30 points and six made three-pointers. Fellow Splash Brother Klay Thompson also drained five shots from deep and finished with 21 points, while Andrew Wiggins made a triumphant return off the bench with 17 points in his first game back after dealing with personal issues.

The Dubs had the significant edge in dimes that game, as they out-assisted the Kings, 31-18. What they need to work on is ironically their strongest weapon: lighting it up from beyond the arc. Golden State made just 16 of their 50 three-point attempts as the team had to stay blow-for-blow with resilient Sacramento.

Why Bet on the Sacramento Kings?

The entire Sacramento Kings fanbase felt something that they haven’t felt in over 16 years, as the Kings won their first playoff game in what feels like forever. After a record-setting regular-season scoring performance, Sacramento stayed ablaze in Game 1 thanks to a pair of former Kentucky standouts.

Electric point guard De’Aaron Fox scored a game-high 38 points, which was good enough for the second-most points scored by an NBA player making his postseason debut. Meanwhile, Malik Monk also dropped 32 points on the Dubs and made all 14 of his free-throw attempts after constantly attacking the rim without fear.

Although Domantas Sabonis had a quiet scoring effort with just 12 points, he led all players with 16 rebounds in Game 1. The Kings won the battle of the boards in Game 1, 61-52 (17-9 on the offensive glass), and it’s their All-Star center Sabonis who’s another problem for the Warriors to solve even though it was a relatively subpar offensive showing from the Lithuanian standout.

Warriors vs. Kings Game 2 Expert Betting Predictions

With the odds currently being as tight as it is and with how Game 1 was a nail-biter, it stands to reason that it’s an actual toss-up as to who’ll win Game 2. We’re more inclined to predict that the Warriors will even up the series on Monday with another tense battle decided by the final possession and with the Dubs’ playoff experience finally shining through.
