Cincinnati Bengals 2022 NFL Draft Best First-Round Targets

By Carlos Chacon

The Cincinnati Bengals are gearing up for another spectacular season after being one win away from capturing a victory in Super Bowl LVI earlier this year. Although they’ll have the 31st-overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft ahead, their front office has proven to be competent at developing rookies and they should be fine even with lesser draft capital than the previous seasons.

Nitrobetting is ready to equip its bettors with the latest news, futures NFL odds, and special features for the duration of the 2022 NFL offseason. This time, let’s examine the best first-round prospects that the Cincinnati Bengals may strongly consider picking up at the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft.

Cincinnati Bengals 2022 NFL Draft Best First-Round Targets

Kenyon Green – Texas A&M (OG)

Considering that Joe Burrow was sacked a whopping 70 times last season (including the playoffs) the Bengals were quick to sign offensive linemen La’el Collins, Alex Cappa, and Ted Karras in free agency. Texas A&M’s Kenyon Green could be the next to join Cincy’s O-line as a solid pass protector and run blocker alike with the athletic guard standing to learn a lot from some of the best mammoths in the trenches.

Tyler Linderbaum – Iowa (C)

Even though the Bengals just picked up a center in the aforementioned veteran Ted Karras, they should still take a closer look at having a rookie in the middle of the O-line such as Iowa’s Tyler Linderbaum. Karras was a natural fit at guard during his snaps at the position in New England, and having the best center in the 2022 NFL Draft class in Linderbaum hiking the ball to Burrow instead might be a crafty move that will reap rewards for Cincy’s offensive line for years.

Kaiir Elam – Florida (CB)

Cincinnati is also in dire need of help on defense, namely in the secondary, and Gators shutdown corner Kaiir Elam could very well fall on the team’s lap at the tail-end of the first round. Elam possesses great speed, running a 4.39 in the 40-yard dash and is versatile in both man-to-man and zone coverage situations. In a draft with tons of elite cornerbacks, the Bengals would want nothing more than to snag Elam before the pool of corners thin out.

Updated Cincinnati Bengals 2022 NFL Futures Odds

As of this writing, the Bengals are priced at (+1,800) to win Super Bowl 57. Despite having just made it to the championship game this past season, Cincinnati is tied with the Tennessee Titans for the 10th-best odds amongst all NFL teams to date.
