The 2022 Cadence Bank Houston Open has been a mainstay on the PGA TOUR calendar since 1946 and has had countless sponsorship deals throughout its history. The tournament was moved to the fall season or the earlier part of the PGA TOUR campaign in 2019. It has since been one of the more sought-after tournaments by golfers before the holiday break.
A huge prize pool worth $8.4 million is at stake in Houston this week. That’s a slight uptick of $200,000 from last week’s tournament in Mexico and is also a $900,000 prize purse increase from last year’s run of the Houston Open.
