Favorites to Win the 2021 Austrian Grand Prix

Max Verstappen

Verstappen is on a role. He’s won the last three of four races, winning in Monaco, France and Steirmark Grand Prix. In the first race in Austria last week, he led from pole to flag, making it his fourth win this season, topping it off with an 18 point differential in the ranking against defending champion Lewis Hamilton. Along with his Red Bull partner Sergio Perez, who also got a recent victory in Azerbaijan, they’ve added 40 points on top of Mercedes.

Lewis Hamilton

Speaking of Hamilton, the champ hasn’t won a race sin May’s Spanish Grand Prix, almost two months ago. Since then, he has struggled even to be in the top 10. His performances in Monaco and Azerbaijan have many in doubt if he can recuperate the pace he started with. In France and Steiermark, he ended in second place. Hamilton needs to find a way to get back into the game or we might be seeing the fall of the champ as we speak.

Long Shots to Win the 2021 Austrian Grand Prix

Lando Norris

You should move your eyes a bit from the favorites and take a look at Lando Norris. He’s been consistent this season, having seven of eight top five finishes. His performances at this circuit have placed no more than sixth place in his four appearances. He’s also had a good performance in the Constructors Standings, so expect more from him the rest of the season.

2021 Austrian Grand Prix Expert Betting Prediction

With the way things have been turning out recently, Hamilton and Mercedes have some work to do and try to get back into championship contention in the next few races. If the champ doesn’t get some wins, we might just see a new champ and probably will know it months in advanced. I wouldn’t bet against Hamilton entirely yet. There’s still much to go in the season to call out a champion, though it looks like we could be saying that within the next few races.
