Favorites to Win the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton

The current F1 leader and defending champion heads into another race as the second favorite, despite his recent victories. He’s no stranger to this track, with a recent win back in 2019. But the thing is not so much Hamilton, but Mercedes. This track is one of the slower street circuits, which doesn’t really help the Mercedes with a long wheelbase. They have been able to gain advantage in previous seasons because of this, though it might not be the case this time around.

Max Verstappen

Currently sitting at top of the pack as the favorite to win the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix, Verstappen could get another win in his electric car, which he hasn’t been able to do since the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. The main thing that gives Max and Red Bull the extra lead is their edge in tight corners. If he’s able to maintain a pace against Hamilton in front, he just might take his second win of the season.

Long Shots to Win the 2021 Monaco Grand Prix

Daniel Ricciardo

It’s been tough for Italian-Australian driver for McLaren. The last time he won this track was in 2017. His performance so far this season has been difficult. And McLaren will be battling for the third place, as they lead by six points over Ferrari, who are right behind them in the standings. No doubt Ricciardo has a lot of pressure, even so more with no wins at the moment.

Sebastian Vettel

The Aston Martin driver seems to be in a pickle as well as Ricciardo. His performance with Ferrari in 2020 is something to forget. Since changing teams, he hasn’t been able to get many points finishing outside in the first four races. Though, we must point out his experience on the track, winning it twice and has been on this podium seven times. He might not win this one, but he could end up in the Top 10. Keep an eye out for him.

2021 Monaco Grand Prix Betting Prediction

These past few races have had Hamilton not so much as the favorite, but he just keeps winning. Statistics indicate the difficulty this track can bring to Mercedes. Still, the question remains, why bet against the champ? Verstappen is very close to getting another win, though pressure can be challenging or very rewarding. We shall see who gets to the podium at Monaco this Sunday.
